I tucked skinny jeans into my lovely new boots, and got stuck in them.Had to use a coat hanger attached to zip to get the feckers off. So, yes to over boots.

orangina · 20/10/2007 20:40

Yes to skinny trews tucked into boots... if you need something comfortable, how about a slightly biker look? Too edgy? Edgy might be good... Think the crepe sole on the original next pair might look a bit longleaty....

zippitippitoes · 20/10/2007 20:41

orangina · 20/10/2007 20:45

i'm going to use it in future.... "ooh, a bit longleat don't you think?"

so are next jeans extra large?

and what exactly is wrong with the old folk in skinny jeans in boots lol

GrapefruitMoon · 21/10/2007 14:44

Yes Zippi, I bought a size 12 a few months ago (my usual size everywhere else) and they are always falling down as the day goes on - I asked on here at the time and someone said they do come up large at Next...

Starrys Baking Dilemma

or anyone?

I bought those boots someone on here recommended from the Vertbaudet catalogue (go up to size 6 1/2), only £38, I think, and reeeally comfy.....

Beenleigh · 22/10/2007 14:41

yes, but fold that top bit over so you don't have the seam

Beenleigh · 22/10/2007 14:45

you can't ugg now, you've come this far! I was feeling same way, they do look OK, but what you need is a short biker boot. Most shops have missed a trick here, because imo they are the boot of the season..Best ones I've see are Gap for about £45, but I think they're a bit 'lady' shaped.

Beenleigh · 22/10/2007 14:52

i love all these mags which say things are over long before they are, just because the person that wrote the article looks like shit in them.
Don;t forget boot cuts were around for YEARS! Skinny have only really been around in a big way for two or three MAX. They have a lot more life in them yet.
There's space for a lot of different leg shapes, but skinny isn;t over yet.
Agree atm I prefer wide leg to skinny leg, am currently desperate for some very wide leg loose fit high waist black jeans, but as every day jeans, skinny are still doing it for me.

Beenleigh · 22/10/2007 17:46

lol just re read that last post and I sound like a dick.

boolepew · 22/10/2007 19:41

Ha ha, no you don't. You hit the nail on the head! I have a pair of Fly Mes biker boots and they're really comfy and look good with boyfriend jeans.
