Eyebrow microblading

Drawmelikeoneofyourfrenchgirls · 27/09/2020 09:03

So following on about my query regarding hd brows, has anyone any experience with microblading? Mine have a couple of sparse patches and I am thinking about long term it might be an idea to have them microbladed rather than have to draw them in every day. Has anyone had this done?

Yep, had mine done in February and it's the best thing I ever did. Love them.

nevernotstruggling · 27/09/2020 09:21

I'm desperate to get this done. I know lots of women who have had it done and it looks really natural and great not like a sharpie

Janaih · 27/09/2020 09:29

Had mine done last october and they still look good but will get them topped up in October I think. Very painful but worth it.

Go somewhere decent. It's not a quick thing. Mine was drawing on my face with a biro for over an hour with a ruler and protector. Then the blading took another hour. I would take some earpods, the sound of your skin being sliced is a bit grim.

*Protractor!

Best thing I've ever done and has saved me so much time each day trying to draw on overplucked eyebrows. It hurt a bit but not as much as I expected. 8 months later it's still going strong but will get redone next year and probs for the rest of my life.

SuddenArborealStop · 27/09/2020 10:01

I'd love this but worry you get a technician on an off day and are stuck with the results. My eyebrows are see through without HD though and I'm sick of constantly getting them redone to appear alive.

ViSovari · 27/09/2020 10:09

Love love love mine! Had them done 3 years ago and they still look great. Waiting for my top up appointment which is a bit overdue but they’re still great. Means I look “made up” without tonnes of make up. I have quite fair and sparse brows and it really frames my face.
Mine Very subtle and not at all sharpie’d. They just look like nice full but natural brows.
Make sure you do it with someone you know or have been recommended. And make sure you check their portfolio. It really does pay to get them done by someone good at it.

Drawmelikeoneofyourfrenchgirls · 27/09/2020 10:46

Thank you so much everyone! This sounds like just what I need. My sister gets hers done and I didn’t actually realise until very recently when she told me, that’s how good they look so I would go to her person. I think I will give them until after Xmas and new year and see if they grow any more. If not I will get them done

I did get mine done, about 3 years ago.
I regret it, initially when they were done they looked beautiful! But after they healed the lines disappeared and they turned out blocky and I still have to use a pencil now. The colour went quite grey like on my skin :(

Not sure what to do now as surely it should've disappeared by now :(

Did you not have a top up @Elmo311? That would be the time to have the colour adjusted.

I think they look good.

Drawmelikeoneofyourfrenchgirls · 27/09/2020 14:29

@Elmo311 I see what you mean, tho I think they are a lovely shape and if I was just a normal distance from you I wouldn’t even notice. Do they maybe need a top up? That’s the thing I can’t quite get right with pencilling mine in, I can’t get the wee hair stroke look, they always just look blocky

StuntCroissant · 27/09/2020 14:39

Can any of the PP add a pic of their eyebrows please? I see so many people saying they "look great" but it's sort of subjective! Thanks

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 27/09/2020 14:44

Here you go. I've since had my top up so they're now a little bit darker.

I had mine done, but powder brow rather than micro blade. I have very sparse eyebrows. Really pleased and don’t need topping up yet after 2 years.
I’m not sure how true this is but I was told it’s hard to do the top ups on the original hair strokes each time so eventually it looks quite blocky (making up words here!)

Drawmelikeoneofyourfrenchgirls · 27/09/2020 15:17

@Ridingthegravytrain what is powder brows? How does it differ from microblading?

@chocolatesaltyballs22 they look amazing!

Elmo311 · 27/09/2020 15:21

@chocolatesaltyballs22 I have actually had 2 top ups and they ended up the same as the original! Maybe it's my skin or their technique ? Who knows but you're look amazing by the way....the kind of results I wish I had for sure!

Elmo311 · 27/09/2020 15:23

@Drawmelikeoneofyourfrenchgirls I've had two top ups with the same outcome I'm afraid. The shape is very good and suits me but I am annoyed that it doesn't seem to be fading anymore now and I worry that I'm stuck with this forever and it will look weird when I'm older. Confused

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 27/09/2020 15:26

Thanks @Elmo311.

Maybe try a different technician? Surprised yours are not fading though. I'm only 7 months in and expect to have to pay out for a top up next year.

Drawmelikeoneofyourfrenchgirls · 27/09/2020 15:27

@Elmo311 could you maybe get a really fine eyebrow pencil and do the hair strokes over the top? Might reduce the blocky look? I know that kind of defeats the purpose of getting them microbladed tho! I do think they look fab tho Smile

Had mine done in February and agree, it was one of the best things I’ve done. Love saving 2 mins a day not having to draw them on

Elmo311 · 27/09/2020 15:35

@Drawmelikeoneofyourfrenchgirls You're very kind, but they look shit 😅 haha!
I hope yours turn out great. Make sure you update us :)

Drawmelikeoneofyourfrenchgirls · 27/09/2020 15:56

@Elmo311 they really aren’t bad at all! Certainly not as bad as you think they are Smile I think I’m going to give mine until after Christmas and new year and if they haven’t grown I will get them done. Excited at the thought of not drawing them on every day!

Twilightstarbright · 27/09/2020 15:59

I gave mine done and I'm so happy with them.they just fill in the gaps and look really natural and not too done. Get a recommendation from someone who's brows you like and get someone experienced. The girl I go to is the most expensive locally but she only does permanent makeup do is very experienced.

Twilightstarbright · 27/09/2020 16:00

Here's a photo. No make up on and I had them done 13 months ago.

@Twilightstarbright they look amazing, have you had them topped up since you had them done?
