It was my second wedding and I was 40 so I wore a cream coloured silk dress with jacket. It was knee length and felt appropriate.

I wore a black Ted Baker jumpsuit with a white laced jacket. Will try and find a pic (v outing!)

My dress was very similar to tbe famous Marilyn Monroe dress (light cream though, not white)

made it a bit shorter, elbow length sleeves, with the neck cowl bit, in a cream wool mix (was late winter). Not unlike the Pretty Dress Company one above, but with a straighter skirt, and less accomplished!

Wore it with some quite 70s burgundy knee high boots, and a matching floppy hat.

Biarritz having one made - never considered that but actually, more simple than making a big wedding dress- love the cowl neck and your boots/ hat sound fab
