If you are the simple dress kind of person, then great- go for it. However if its just the fact that you are having a small registry thats making you opt for something simple, then maybe think outside the box? I had a registry office wedding of less than 20 and wore a scarlet ball gown and i loved it !! Something non conventional works really well for small weddings. Im sure youll have a lovely day whatever you choose :)

Mine was like this. It was February so I wore a short cashmere cardigan as well.

A girl I went to school with had a small wedding just before lockdown. She wore a canary yellow trouser suit with slim leg trousers, a silk blouse and Adidas gazelles. It was very, very cool, although I'd swap the trainers for heels personally!

Craic oh wow- yellow is one of the colours I am drawn to- we'll either do spring or autumn- I LOVE the idea of the trouser suit

Wear what makes you happy. I’ve been to registry office weddings where the bride has worn full on wedding dress and it wasn’t inappropriate

Also you are never too old to wear a proper wedding dress if it’s what YOU want

We are eloping next month so I’m trying to find something to wear. It’s complicated by the fact I’m breastfeeding what will be a 2 month old baby, so I need boob access.

I was thinking about this top and skirt.

Gina Bacconi does some nice evening dresses if you want to avoid white. I wore one of her bronze metallic beaded dresses when I got married for the second time. It was really comfortable to wear as well!

Another one saying that don’t feel like you “can’t” wear a full on wedding dress at a registry office or for a small wedding. My SIL wore a floor length wedding dress with veil for a wedding with 12 people and she looked absolutely beautiful.

I think it’s your wedding, you can wear whatever you like. It’s no less an occasion for being in a registry office, or small scale, or a second wedding, or any other reason you might assume you can’t have a wedding dress.

I mean get married by an elvis impersonator in Vegas in a giant white meringue if you want to! 😂

I wore this dress from Coast (in 2010) in the day time and changed to a silvery pleated dress for the evening.
