I 'need' makeup

I've never been one for wearing much makeup.
I even ditched the coloured foundation in the summer.
I hardly ever even wear mascara because my eyes are so sensitive.
Anyhow ever since reading about blinc mascara I think it might be OK for me?? I have always used clinques quick eyes for liner, anything better out there?
Also I need to get a good foundation, what are peoples recommendations??

why do you need foundation?>

if for dayime i'd suggest going with a good tinted moisturiser - more naturla looking - if you can

plus powder maybe?

i like chanel foundation for eveninghs - teint eclat (?)

TheOriginalXENA · 30/09/2007 21:33

I think powder would be good as I can be prone to a shiny nose but haven't a clue how to use it

if prone to shine then try a specific mattifying product

clinique have one (pore minimizer think it's called) which is great

Clinique Quick Eyes and their double ended eyelines with shadow on one end, liner on the other are the best I've used - so I feel you're doing right there!

For Foundation, if you want to splash out, prescriptives is the best imho but for cheaper but nearly as good, try Boots number 7.

For blusher - I've recently discovered this 9well in the last year or two) and it can make such a difference, especially for pale and interesting like me! Bourgois is good or splash out on Nars.

yes i agree with tutter
defof a cREAM blush

TheOriginalXENA · 30/09/2007 21:43

Thanks watling that would be great.
I do the whole school run plus pre-schoolers in the day. Then I work as a waitress in posh resturant in the evening. (am feeling abit old atm as most of the others are early twenties)
Sometime I am a lady that 'does lunch' and then other times we go to resturants etc in the evening.

do you regret offering

Can you get prescriptives in boots? is the no7 one the intelligent one or do I need a powder? I do like clinque tutter.

What about going into a department store? would they only sell me stuff from one brand or do they have independent ladies?

I was looking in boots today and then online at their shop. I'll try googling!

This one? Will ivory be good for fair but suntanned skin?

Ok- good news that our local boots stock clarins (very small town so I was suprised) and I hadn't read your last message before I went but lady colour tested me and gave me a sample in colour 7. However... She thinks my skin is too young for the one you recommed so gave me a sample of clarins teint eclat confort? Is that one any good?
