Alternative to foundation

Help please! I put some makeup on for the first time since March and my foundation just felt really heavy and looked quite "fake" even though it is the Bodyshop Nude one. I think I'm just not used to it anymore. What can I use instead to even out my skin tone and hide blemishes? Need to tone done slightly red nose, hide under eye circles, occasional spots. Would concealer and BB cream do it?

@TooMinty

I ordered the skin tint/concealer package plus some Milky Jelly (?) cleanser. And chose Cloud Paint as my free sample (copy cat). I used your discount code, thanks 😊
Ooooh thanks TooMinty!

I feel like ive hijacked your post a wee bit so have started a Glossier thread. Look forward to hearing what you think - that cleanser is apparently very good too.

I don't like foundation.
I use no7 airbrush away
It's a bit like a concealer/foundation but very light. It doesn't sit in creases and covers my uneven 42 yr old skin. It gives quite a dewy finish.

I use Bare Minerals as well but I do find by the end of the day, it is gone.

It's interesting so many people recommended Mac Face and Body. I might get my paws on some.

I think it depends how light coverage you want to go, I watched a YouTube video today and she said the Glossier one was very sheer but Mac gives slightly more coverage. I thought she looked good with the Glossier one on but she didn't think it hid her spots.
