Carotte · 26/09/2007 13:48

You can get slippers in loads of surf shops

Billabong

RealManPan · 26/09/2007 14:19

We do not wear slippers. By definition. No compromise.

BarefootShirl · 26/09/2007 14:20

DH would not be seen dead in slippers - he is barefoot indoors and wears shoes/trainers/flip flops when we are out (usually with me barefoot!) In fact we are all mostly barefoot at home (purely by personal choice, not because I've got any cleanliness obsession!). But I have to agree with other posters about men's slippers - why do they all look as if they are intended for the over-70s?

Tortington · 26/09/2007 14:21

no real men dont wear slippers.

old people wear slippers - there is just no denying it

adults who get ready for bed - then come down again to watch telly are just WRONG

if its cos you want to keep a carpet clean - have men flipflop things

ggglimpopo · 26/09/2007 14:23

My dh says that "barefeet are disgusting because they leave sweaty footprints on the parquet...."

I just sigh and say 'yes, cherie' because life is too short to argue about sweaty footprints (wtf) on the parquet.

So he wears the slippers in our household

ChippyMinton · 26/09/2007 14:25

DH (real man? oh yes!) wears slippers, mocassin stylee. Did buy him a Mr Man 'Mr Grumpy' pair, which mysteriously disappeared...

BIL has football team pair

kittylouise · 26/09/2007 14:25

If it's about keeping the carpet clean, then don't let the man IN, for crying out loud.

Have just moved into a house with cream carpets and can see my life descending into a loop of carpet cleaning. Doom.

Oh, I love slippers. Am a convert after getting some poncey Swedish ones from John Lewis a few year ago. Was coveting new ones in there only yesterday.

Partner woudl never wear thme though

fishie · 26/09/2007 14:28

yy custy. pyjamas on the sofa in the evening is really wrong (unless you are ill of course). slippers are naff.

Carotte · 26/09/2007 19:09

Slippers are naff, and fogey, but they are sooo cosy. No-one see them anyway
