Real men don't wear aprons whilst cooking (dp's brother does and he looks like a prat, he thinks he looks cool in manner of Marco Pierre White).

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/09/2007 13:11

I also despise 'comedy' ties, socks, pants and especially slippers as kittylouise mentioned

newlifenewname · 26/09/2007 13:11

or, indeed, chianti

LilRedWG · 26/09/2007 13:11

Cod - you'd definitely trust my DH then

MamaG · 26/09/2007 13:12

I never trust a man with a beard either. Just what ARE you trying to hide, hmm?

kittylouise · 26/09/2007 13:12

Novelty ties = type of man who says "i'm mad, me!"

harleyd · 26/09/2007 13:12

BIL has a beard as well as slippers (but I still love him dearly)

harleyd · 26/09/2007 13:15

umbrellas are poncey

HappyDaddy · 26/09/2007 13:23

I hate umbrellas too. I have started carrying one in my bag, as I'm sick of arriving at work soaking wet. I only use it if it's chucking it down though, none of that drizzle rubbish.

NorthernRockCod · 26/09/2007 13:23

is being wet better?

OP posts:
MamaG · 26/09/2007 13:23

er HD your coolness has just gone RIGHT DOWN by the phrase "...carry one in my bag"

HappyDaddy · 26/09/2007 13:30

I've never been cool. I have a rucksack to carry my text book in. I hate all that walking while swinging your umbrella cobblers, I'm not in Mary Poppins.

MamaG · 26/09/2007 13:30

man bag

HappyDaddy · 26/09/2007 13:33

I admit, I need a manbag. A good one, a manly one, not a clutchbag ladies.

I'm on the look out.

DH has slippers. I think they are Animal ones so he obviously thinks they're not as fogey, but slippers are inherently fogey. I love mine.

MamaG · 26/09/2007 13:35

lol

NorthernRockCod · 26/09/2007 13:35

lol at labelled sluipers

OP posts:
ggglimpopo · 26/09/2007 13:37

My dh is neurotic about slippers -a s most french seem to be. It is one of the only compromises in our intercultural marriage. That and the kitchen sponge.

NorthernRockCod · 26/09/2007 13:38

spoonge?

how neruotic
