Ski jackets

I’ve seen a few ski jackets in the sales and there seem to be some good discounts. Is this a good time to buy or will they be further discounted over the summer?
And does anyone have any advice on ski jackets generally? What to look for/which to buy? Jacket needs to be practical of course but I’d also like something that looks good - without being too out there.

What do people think of these? I already have plain black trousers. I like the idea of a colour but don’t want to go to stand out too much as I’m not a very good skier!
