Beauty gift ideas please

I have a colleague who shares my love of beauty products and her birthday is coming up at the end of next month.

I want to order a gift for her so I will probably need to do it in the next couple of weeks to ensure it reaches her.

I’m not sure what to get! I’ve previously got her make up and brushes from decent brands.

I’d be grateful for ideas.

She’s into lip products but it’s tough to choose colours.

I’m tempted by the new Too Faced neutral palette but she doesn’t wear eye shadow as much.

I’m tempted to get something from Milk as it has good reviews and she might not have tried it.

Maybe Anastasia BH Brie products.

An hourglass powder.

She is going to be 23, medium-tan / asian skin and dark hair.

It doesn’t have to be a make up or skincare gift but not sure what else to buy.

Budget is about £40

And on a separate but related note are flowers a strange thing to send to an 18 year old for her birthday, with a card? I never had flowers at that age but think it might be nice as it a bit of something.

I’m not sure about a pillowcase for her (I love them) but the Chanel mirror is a good idea so I’ll have a look

Sounds good, glad to be of help. Hope you find something nice.

I still haven’t decided!

Other idea was Hotel Chocolat body products - luxury but a bit different...

You could get her a makeup analysis. Styled by Susie sell makeup analysis for around that price.

SomeBunnyovertheRainbow · 07/06/2020 22:26

Haven’t come across make up analysis before. Maybe if it comes with make up?!

I’m still tempted by the same things - the CT pillow talk medium and the benefit reunion palette. But want to see if there are any YouTube videos showing the lipstick shade more clearly. Or other brand shades that would work.

PS 18 year old niece seemed to love the flowers

Also looking at ESPA, which I love, as I think it’s luxurious and she might not have used jf

So I’ve realised her birthday is a week later than I thought it was and I’m now thinking a NARS cheek palette but deciding which one!

What did you go for in the end?

SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow · 13/06/2020 16:22

I haven’t 🙈

This morning I posted I’m choosing between the Nars cheek palettes but then thought maybe the Benefit cheek palettes as I know they’re great colours she’d probably like

But I haven’t ruled out the pillow talk medium lipstick and lip liner set

Just to add confusion the NARS skin deep eyeshadow pallet is now under £40 with free shipping! From £56/58

SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow · 13/06/2020 21:18

Where is the Skin Deep palette under £40?

Nars website has 20% off but that makes it £44.80

The eye palette I was tempted by is this Afterglow palette. It is stunning

So I went for the Benefit Reunion Tour palette because I have a couple of the colours and love them. One of the colours in it is my favourite ever blusher.

Ordered from Look Fantastic and got 20% plus a free Benefit foundation sponge (looks like a beauty blender) so was about £43
