Nice pyjamas

I know this might not be an especially exciting topic, but I'm in serious need of some decent pyjamas.

I usually wear vests with long bottoms in the evening or on lazy days, but then change into shorts for bed.
I'm not overly keen on long sleeves, and prefer vests over t shirt.
I don't mind if they're button up tops

So, if you had £50-£100 to spend on some lovely, comfy, pretty pyjamas, what would you choose?

Ive just put nice pyjamas on my birthday list! I like white company, toast and anthropology. Toast and anthro ones are always lovely and lounge-y. Desmond and Dempsey look amazing but they’re £££. Figleaves is worth a look - haven’t bought pjs from them but I think they stock a good range.

Someone else asked this a while ago if you search, there were a lot of replies so might be worth trying to find it. Desmond and Dempsey are nice and probably within your price bracket, they have different styles etc. I actually have a discount for £20 (I get £20 too) on a refer a friend scheme if you do like the look of them.

I do love Desmond and Dempsey but not sure I can justify the price, although the could possibly be a birthday present from DH...

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a look at those and I'll hunt out the similar thread. I didn't even think of doing a search to be honest

Boden usually have a decent selection and they wash well, last ages in this household. White company too.

@allmycats I never think of QVC! Thank you, I'll pop it on the list Grin

I'll have a look at Boden too

There could be a whole birthday wish list of pyjamas to be compiled here!

Hush have lovely PJs. I tend to buy the PJ bottoms/ shorts and wear with a plain vest top from anywhere.

I have some Desmond & Dempsey ones which are a beautiful print, but am ashamed to say I am actually too fat to wear them at the moment.

@onemouseplace I have always mixed and matched my pyjamas so part of me was thinking about just getting separates rather than a matching set.

PJ pan have lovely pyjamas and nightwear, and they are made in the UK

That PJ Pan website's a nuisance. I'm easily put off ordering by things like that.

Plus their sizing is awful - regular length at 31 inch leg then a tall and extra tall range, but no petite range? Will never understand how companies can offer these extensions on sizes one way but not the other.

I recently discovered Victoria’s Secret modal pyjamas and they are my new favourite jammies. (I have two pairs of Hush cotton pyjamas, they're nice but I feel a bit child like in them lol) whereas these are stylish and comfy and so so soft. I’m totally converted.

@lotusbell how do you find the sizing of cyberjammies? I'm an awkward between 14-16 at the moment!

I loved my Desmond and Dempseys when I first got them- raved about them to everyone and bought some as gifts. Unfortunately I’ve now found that they don’t wear very well. The super soft cotton is awfully thin and they just go out of shape. I won’t be buying them again.

@MsSquiz, I am 12/14 and wear a 14. I wear a 36dd (not sure if it's the right bra size but).
I'm only 5ft so they're a bit long in the arms and legs, as to be expected but there is plenty of room in these, not too restrictive.
I bought a 2nd pair from ebay in 12 and the top is a bit tight across the bust so will stick to 14 for now.

@Thehollyandtheirony that's good to know. If I'm spending that much on them, I'd want them to last a decent amount of time!

@lotusbell sounds like we are pretty similar in shape and height! I'm 5'1" so used to the longer length. I might order both 14 and 16. Ideally I'd like to be losing the baby weight soon, but lockdown comfort eating is not helping that!

I think the white company have 20% off code running at the min TREAT20 if you like any of theirs

Can I suggest Hush - pyjamas are much better quality than their day clothes. And brora (which are fab quality and just about within your price bracket with the current 20pc off)

Report
Picassosdove · 16/05/2020 07:55

I love Jigsaw pyjamas. Soft cotton, classic styling, good prints. At the moment they have 25 pc off, making them extremely good value compared to the likes of Desmond and Dempsey. Work out at about 45 pounds after discount, so the D and Ds are 3 times the price. The Jigsaw ones are excellent quality.
