@ShavedIt Thank you so much. Tilda Swinton? I'll take that any day of the week. It's made my Easter break, which starts today
Not popular with everyone but I went to Weight Watchers. I was a reasonably healthy eater anyway but it was the portion sizes that I wasn't managing. WW taught me how to do that and I did find the support of other (mainly) women really useful.
Once I'd shifted a couple of stones, I dug out my gym membership card and signed up with a personal trainer. That was over six years ago and was, and remains, the best use of money ever. I would not be where I am without him — and I tell him so. Regularly
He's a competitive bodybuilder and, after going to see him compete, I decided that I wanted to give it a go. So, in August (assuming we're over this crazy period), I will be doing my own posing routine on stage in a sequined bikini
I am TERRIFIED. But, you know what? No guts, no glory. I'm doing it.
I've attached my before and after pics (sorry if you've seen them before).
What I wanted to get across is that I'm an ordinary 53 year old woman. I work full-time, live in a small (ish) house in a large city, go to work, go down the footie on a Saturday. Everyday normal stuff.
If you want this, then you got it
If I can help you in any way, then I will ..... with the caveat that I'm a chartered accountant, and neither a fitness expert nor nutritionist. But I'll be happy to chuck any moral support your way.
And, do I feel better for losing the weight? You would not believe how it's transformed my life.
If it's what you want, go for it. You'll get there. Promise
