I'm looking for somewhere closer to home that sells floaty, alternative dresses like these, Mofy from the US. Can anyone think of anywhere?

lagenlook

Ginfordinner · 03/04/2020 18:18

The oversized linen look is popular everywhere just now. I wouldn't really class it as "alternative"

QuentinWinters · 03/04/2020 18:21

White stuff?

applepineapple · 03/04/2020 18:23

Monki do oversized well

Thank you @homemadecommunistrussia, there are some tunics very close to what I'm after.

I like the White Stuff too, but we don't have one nearby. I think I'll check them out a bit more. Monki seem a bit bright and big.

Thank you for the recommendations so far, they are helping me identify what it is I'm after. I think it's perhaps more New Age-y and floaty rather than big and baggy..?

Jesus, tgat Lagenlook site has just burned my eyes - at least your Mofy site had a little bit of shape - the prices are better too - might be better to look at international shipping but obs not at moment

MrsJamin · 03/04/2020 21:56

Those lagenlook things are hideous. Geez. Who wants to dress like that?!

IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere · 03/04/2020 22:00

PhoneLock · 03/04/2020 22:47

Jesus, that Lagenlook site has just burned my eyes

I have to agree. Shapeless coloured sacks.

Elieza · 03/04/2020 22:56

@JMAngel1 ha ha, that made my laugh, burned your eyes, ha ha!
Scared the shit out if my cat when I suddenly hooted with laughter right enough, oops. Grin

They really aren't "alternative". The Littlewoods and Grattan catalogues have similar.

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 04/04/2020 02:24

Try Poetry and some Gudrun Sjoden's more muted bits.

Look also at Simply Be side pocket tunics too. Seasalt stone carver tunic might be what you after so worth a look.

Gringo if you like a more hippy/new age vibe..

Riverviews · 04/04/2020 07:37

Have you checked Kemitelford in Instagram. She has amazing dresses and some might fit what you are looking for.

userabcname · 04/04/2020 08:18

I bought and "over sized" floaty tunic-y type thing from BooHoo recently. £20. Bargain.

Luc1nda · 04/04/2020 08:31

Thank you for the recommendations. I seem to have given the impression that I'm after some kind of mumu dress. This isn't the case.

I really like the gringo stuff and the story behind it. Off to check the rest of the recommendations now.

Grin at that Lagenlook site. How incredibly horrendous and if it looks like that on the models how hideous must it look on more mortals?
