I'm looking for somewhere closer to home that sells floaty, alternative dresses like these, Mofy from the US. Can anyone think of anywhere?

I love the dresses on the Mofy site. Have you ordered from them before ?
Is it a US site or a Chinese site ?
What are the reviews like ?

Those Lagenlook things make the model look absolutely huge when you can see from her legs that she is standard model slim.

HappyHammy · 04/04/2020 13:58

Floraday do the exact same dresses in the uk

Strangely enough there are two dresses like that over at Cotton traders. Not a place I'd normally buy clothes but I might get them, same dress two different colours.

WhoWants2Know · 04/04/2020 14:41

To be fair, I have some lovely lagenlook outfits from past years that are much more light and flattering than the offerings on that page.

Plümo
But they are expensive.

Other ideas-

Nomads
Skunkfunk
Komodo
Wicked Dragon
Namaste

@LadyEloise I haven't tried it because it's international, but it haunts my Pinterest :) I'd love to find somewhere in the UK.

@HappyHammy that's amazing, thank you. Did you find that site or were you already familiar with it?

Luc1nda · 05/04/2020 15:37

Ahh, Floryday is still posted from the US, it's just you can get prices in sterling.

@SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe I've just worked through your list, thank you. I think that the ones at Nomad and Wicked Dragon are the kind of thing I'm after. In fact, I love the stuff at Wicked Dragon.

I'm not sure the reviews are great for those sites haunting you with beautiful dresses. I remember asking, under a different name about one of the "haunting sites" Smile and Mumsnetters were VERY UNimpressrd.

anonacatchat · 05/04/2020 16:40

Goodness me ...

They are dresses one would throw on after a day at the beach / casual attire - why would one iron them?

FamilyOfAliens · 05/04/2020 16:41

Lagenlook means “layered look” - I’m struggling to see how those oversized painting overalls would be improved by being layered with anything.

LadyEloise · 05/04/2020 16:52

Aspiga is another site. Very expensive though.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 05/04/2020 17:06

Some things on Elsies Attic are like this.

Ooh, any more details?

www.freepeople.com/uk/dresses/ not cheap though

Plümo
But they are expensive

If you like Plümo you might like & Daughter

Luc1nda I can't remember the name of the dress company continually popping up with ads on my phone ( the dresses were lovely ) but when enquiring on Mumsnet, posters said don't order. Service and product were cr*p. Sad

DidoLamenting
&daughter - what beautiful dresses but oh so expensive. I'm not tall snd willowy and would have to shorten them and lose the lovely detail at the hem.
I'll have to stick with Cos which is considerably cheaper. and less "flowy hippy vibeish"

I'm not sure if I mentioned Aspiga as an option for Luc1nda.
I've not ordered from them yet.

Savida at Dunnes Stores might have something in the style you like
An ad for Gudren whats it popped up on my phone while I was reading the news on my phone. There were nice dresses on the site.

FlockofGulls · 06/04/2020 09:07

A plus size friend of mine (short & round, I think she's size 20) wears a lot of Gudrun Sjöden
