If I was having a wedding dress, I'd make an appointment at Mirror Mirror in Crouch End, North London, and get loads of ideas.

You need to go to a wedding shop and try on all the different styles. That way you can see what looks good.
Just been with my sister ( lots of trips actually) and once she decided that she deffo wanted a fishtail she just looked for those types.
Have you got any appointments booked?

Dropdeadfred · 10/09/2007 14:10

Stilton?

Not yet..silly I know but even as a mum of three the 'Weding Dress Shop' seems too intimdatingly grownup and what 'ladies' do...

princessmel · 10/09/2007 14:20

Oh you should def book some.

The ones we went to were very friendly. They want your money!
We did some locally and some in London. Make a day of it and have lunch etc.

You really can't tell what they'll look like till you try them on. You may think a particular shape is right for you then change your mind when its on. And vice versa for styles you didn't think you'd like.

princessmel · 10/09/2007 14:21

Eek, lace up bags are naffo imo.
The plainer the better for me - less is more, as they say.

Definitely agree with others - go out and try on and try on adn try on. Often people end up with something they really wouldn't ahve thought they'd like just looking at the hanger.
