I don't do dresses, am wondering whether i'll look hideously out of place in smart trousers or will i have to bite the bullet and wear a dress?

if so, can anyone suggest a nice dress for a 5'6" dark haired, slightly gothy laydeee with more than a little bit of baby tummy on her?

I'm hoping to fit into a dress I bought way before I got pregnant (I know it's not going to happen ).

Failing that I'd like to win the lottery so I can buy a beautiful Karen Millen dress I've seen (again, not going to happen ).

So I'm also looking for ideas!!! A simple little black dress for a short-ar$e please!!! (also with baby belly)

Sorry if I'm hijacking . Please don't hate me before I even get to the party!

theUrbanDryad · 08/09/2007 21:08

no, no, no, all welcome on here! share those ideas. i also need comfy-ish shoes for getting drunk and falling about in.

I'm liking a fair few of the dresses at Principles atm. I think this one looks lovely. (not going to the Xmas do, btw, but like suggesting outfits).

JackieNo · 08/09/2007 21:12

Or possibly this one for those blessed with minimal norks.

theUrbanDryad · 08/09/2007 21:20

Jackie - whatever my body is, i do not have minimal norks!!

nappynuttynormabutty · 09/09/2007 18:43

Ok, now I'm really because I've got my dress now!!! (DH treated me!!! )

If anyone's interested, there are a couple of pics on my profile.

FlameBatfink · 09/09/2007 18:49

I hadn't even thought about it!!!

Ooh nice dress Norm!!

Possibly the turquoise one that LadyMacbeth sent me... although it isn't as dressy as yours Norm.

nappynuttynormabutty · 09/09/2007 18:52

Thanks Flame ...I still need to lose a bit of baby belly tho!!!

LL - I'm sure Tech won't complain

if we're coming as our names I'll either have to get a custom order from Flame or buy one of those water butts from that other thread....

UCM · 09/09/2007 19:00
