Where can I find 'normal' cardigans?

I need some cardigans that aren't too thin or thick, button up and sit above the hips (ie no long ones) and the colour can't be see through. Any ideas as to where I can find these mythical cardigans that I see on tv??

M&S definitely! Good quality and not too thick and just the length your after! Usually come is several colours also!

i would probably go to John Lewis they have everything.

I bought an emergency Primark one on a weekend away once, because it was colder than I expected. It looked like a rag very quickly. M&S do some that wash really well but they are viscose rather than cotton, if that matters.

I love the look of that Biden one! But my nicest traditional cardigan is from John Lewis (their own label).

14 colours, but only 2 (grey and black) that I'd actually wear. I have that one in black - it's really good. I do wish M&S would sort their colours out though.

The uniqlo ones are ok, and much cheaper, but loose their shape and go bobbly after a few washes. I have several of those too.

H&M do various styles of cardies, I'd be surprised if there wasn't a style that fit the bill
