I know someone who used to wear teeny tiny shorts with black tights etc. She had great legs (prof. dancer) and even more crucially (sorry cod) was only about 22

How about some knee length ones?

In my late tenns I lived in cut off denim shorts and black opaque tights, was actually flattering and I am not blessed in the leg dept.
Might giv it a try... feel young again!!
