Beetroot · 31/08/2007 17:28

ahem - did you get the magic knicers?

and when are you ging for bra fitting?

ahundredtimes · 31/08/2007 17:56

Zippi - I know I keep raining on your parade and all, but I don't like the smell of him.
It's all this promise of money and posh restaurants and swanky apartments. I'm not convinced he's not just telling you what you want to hear.

If he was the genuine article wouldn't he just say, when you're in London let's go for a drink in this wine bar (do wine bars still exist? lol) or pub or whatever.

Hmm?

Anyway - magic pants are great, date or no date.

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 18:07

ok red top looks really nice..i might even get the brown one the same..or is that a terrible habit always buying more of the same?

size 14 is the size

thank you cd will take the other back tomorrow

I think he is ok ...he hasn't said anything that isn't on his profile..i think he just goes out a lot normally ...well 3 or 4 times a week..that is about what i do in a year, his emails today were nice..

I shall enjoy myself..or at least make the most of it..it's only 15.00 to go to london.. and it means i shan't be moping around or avoiding exh who is coming on friday

and you can always go shopping if you get bored

oh oh - you could book a make up session at Selfrigdes before you meet him!!

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 18:13

i think i probably need trousers to go with it..yes i can go for the day

is selfridges a good place to go for make up?

i'm only making this effort for me not for him...practice like i say and i have spent the last 8 years with someone who loathed going out if we could have afforded it which we couldn't

OP posts:
Beetroot · 31/08/2007 18:19

selfirdges is the best by far - or any MAC store - where will you be?

Some you can just turn up but iti s c=best to phone ahead I think then they will give yu an hlf hour appointment.

ggglimpopo · 31/08/2007 18:21

Nice underwear (fits well and matching; for your confidence and not for him to oogle - unless he turns out to be Omar Sharif in his younger days (arab connection) and you have no choice but to leap bodily upon him in SJW) and no bloody trainers. I'll repeat that. No bloody trainers.

By the by, a friend of mine was once coaxed back out of sheer nosiness to someones bach pad house boat, on a first date. The whole thing was painted frigging apricot. Even the towels were apricot. She did a runner; she said it was like being in a gently rocking uterus.

How's work going Beets?

Beetroot · 31/08/2007 18:23

Good GGG - off ot works do tonight - gotta posh up.

NO TRAINERS unless they are stylish comverse of course.

foxinsocks · 31/08/2007 18:42

I think a back up plan is a very good idea you know.

If you don't want to tip off your sister, is there anyone else near by who you could rope in?

If he's worth his salt, he won't mind saying hello to a mate of yours.

CountessDraculaPI · 31/08/2007 18:50

TRAINERS???

are you maaaaaad

converse at a push as whoever said

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 18:52

thanks for the top suggestion cd it is very flattering..sadly the jelly tummy is still there but i do look quite ok despite that..i just won't sit down

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 18:54

shoes will need some sort of heel i think ...he is very tall

OP posts:
Beetroot · 31/08/2007 19:10

jelly tummy goes with magic knickers

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 19:15

so what are magic knickers and where do you get them and do you wear normal ones too?

i couldn't wear the size 20 coat because it would look ridiculous lol...i have lost more than 3 stone this year

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 31/08/2007 19:20

when is this all happening?

foxinsocks · 31/08/2007 19:26

you can get magic knickers in M&S, John Lewis or somewhere like figleaves online

(I find they are quite uncomfortable so I'd wear them for a few hours first and see what you think - especially if you are planning on having a meal!)

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2007 21:15

after all that he has changed his mind and blown me out! so as you were no date yet...

OP posts:
Beetroot · 31/08/2007 23:25

right well now you need to sort yourself and get a good picture up there.

Bra, hair, make up.

Then same top or some thing slightly more fitted but not slutish.
