Can anyone recommend a good mascara?

One that doesn't leave me looking like a panda!

I bought some maxfactor stuff a few months ago at £10 but it's crap

My sister uses Clinique & it doesn't leave her with black bags round her eyes, but when I used it I looked like a racoon!!

Anyone know of any that will guarantee me a clean face at the end of a night?

I have straightest lashes in the world, I use curlers but minute I put mascara on they go straight again. I have tried everything from Chanel to Rimmel but have found the only one to hold the curl is L'Oreal panoramic curl, comes in waterproof and doesn't shift. It's fab

My lashes are really thin does anybody have any tips to thicken them up or am I doomed to have bald eyes forever!

For something different try Benefit Bad Girl Blue - midnight blue on the brush, doesn't look blue at all on the lash, but makes your eyes look wide and white. Brill.

Another vote for Blinc

beforesunrise · 01/09/2007 19:58

another vote for lancome. it's great

I have been using L'oreal voluminous for years. I even bought 10 of them in bulk from the American Ebay. I have NEVER had panda eyes in the 20 years or so I have been using mascara(started at 12ish) I wonder why that is? I quite like the clumpy OTT look and voluminous achieves this hands down, so not one for you naturalistas.

YSL faux cils without a doubt, worth every penny. would never use any other mascara since discovering this one

snowwonder · 01/09/2007 23:16

the pink tube of maybeline>>> is great i love it
used to use estee lauder but now it is this all the way and it is cheap

I use the Kanebo one (same as Blinc - needs warm water to remove and nothing else shifts it!)

It's brilliant. The only thing I can wear without looking like a panda.

TheOriginalXENA · 03/09/2007 12:05

what shops can you buy blinc from?

dalmatianbabe · 03/09/2007 21:44

I have the same problem and the only one that works for me (and is cheap) is Maybelline Unstoppable. My first post!

Lancome Hypnose or Diorshow

Kath8rine · 04/09/2007 15:34

Pout in Covent Garden sells Blinc (or did when I last got some). It doesn't shift once it's dried, but it can smudge if you blink while it's still wet

itchyncsratchy · 05/09/2007 13:50

in case noone's mentioned already YSL faux cils both regular and waterproof are fantastic and smell beautiful too, Diorshow is good too but the brush is a bit huge
