M & S do still measure the old fashioned way. I was a 36B for years - which is ridiculous as even now, a dress size larger, I am a 32E.

The frustrating thing with M&S is that despite many women repeatedly telling them that they are measuring women wrongly, they absolutely refuse to take it on board. They know best.

I can't believe that M&S are still so shite at bra fitting.

Seriously how have they not twigged yet that some customers have buggered off elsewhere and only the ones remaining are those that don't know that they use a really outdated measuring system.

Oh look, another 'isolated incident'. That's what they call their incorrect bra fitting method whenever someone complains.

I'm a size 10 and a 36. Anything smaller is too constricting. Mind you I hate wearing bras anyway

I've not tried the Boobs or Bust method yet, but have been fitted by Curvy Kate recently, and I'm 36 back at size 18!

I'm a 32B according to M&S AND John Lewis. I particularly love the 4 boob look they go for with the under band boobs they manage to adfitionally create🙄. Rigby and peller 'measured' me without a tape measure in about 3 seconds.

I was going to say 'Boob or Bust'. M and S measure me as a 38c but b or b measure me as a 34E. Much better- it actually fits. And I'm a 14.
Also try different styles as some will suit your breast shape better than others.

What?! I'm a size 12 and 9st 7 and wear a 36. Am I doing it wrong?

My daughter got the most ridiculous measurement in Victoria s secrets. We looked at each other but went with the shop assistant. It was the best fitting bra ever! I'd always give any size suggested a go. No harm!

Measure your underbust firmly in inches. That is the underbust.

Now, bra off, bend forward at the waist so your boobs are hanging down. You want to be as close to a 90 degree angle as possible. Now measure round the bit of your boobs that is hanging lowest. This measurement shouldn't be compressing the breast tissue

Give us those numbers and we'll tell you where to start size wise

M&S had me in a 36C -- I'm a 32FF

I was measured a 38E when I'm a 32DD!

What size does Bravissimo put you in, OP?

Wouldn't recommend M&S bra fitting at all.

OP - have you measure your self with a tape measure?

M&S fittings are really odd - I measure myself to be 28 inches around where the band of my bra would go (So I think this means I should get a size 30 band size, or I sometimes get a 32C bra). BUT - in M&S the bands of the 34- bras don't even close around my back - really really weird!

And this is one of the reasons M&S are on their arse. Millions of bras to be bought in there - lovely ones - but they think 32F is a ‘specialist’ size and only do a few ugly ones in that size.

I walk in, I walk round, I see about 1 nice bra in my size and a million others only up to DD and me and my healthy wallet walk out again.

SORT IT OUT M&S. WE WANT TO SPEND MONEY WITH YOU BUT YOU MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE.

I'm a size 14/16, and my bra size is 38B or 40A. That's because I am an apple shape with small boobs. I always read these threads with a bit of amusement, especially when, as a previous poster here said, do they even do bras that size .

But I have measured myself using the methods described here, so am quite happy I have it right.
