What was your experience having your upper lip threaded?

Hello! I usually have my brows threaded every 3 weeks, I find a bit stingy but not ridiculously painful ( I now compare everything pain-wise to childbirth) I decide to get my upper lip done today, not sure why. I think I was having a crazy moment! I must admit, it bloody hurt! Not as bad as my brows I didn’t think, my sister said it was evil, and made them stop after the first go. I know everybody is different pain wise ( am usually a wimp who cries at a headache ) I was wondering what your experience was? Did it hurt? Would you do it again? Thanks Ali ;)

1. Waxing much better.
2. Bleaching (Jolene) much better

Both are cheap and quick and waxing only painful for 2 nanoseconds.

No need to go down the torture route with this, or electrolysis. Also can be complications like spots, infections etc.

Eyebrows ok. Top lip awful. Never again.

Always get eyebrows done and I’m fine with those. Top lip was agony and ended up swollen and numb for a week afterwards. I wax now instead.

Barely registers on the pain scale. In fact I find it slightly theraputic. Judging by this thread I must be very weird.

I just use hair removal cream every 2 weeks. Painless, quick, easy, very cheap and no rash!

Veet facial wax strips.. absolutely brilliant. Much less painful that threading. Only the Veet ones though - supermarket own brand ones are rubbish.

I wouldn't have my upper lip threaded again, ever, but my eyebrows are hardened to the experience.

I really hope it is worse than childbirth as I'm currently 3 days overdue with my first baby and can cope with upper lip threading just fine 😆

depilatory cream, used correctly, is pain free and effective.
