What scarf would you want if someone was going to buy you a scarf for Christmas?

I know scarves, especially “indoor scarves” are not necessarily flavour of the month on S&B but my father wants to know what to get me for Christmas and I’m getting a bit of a yen for a really nice new scarf.

So what would you get? Indoor or outdoor, cheap or spendy, what would you like under the tree from the Christmas Scarf Fairy? Don’t worry about what I might want, just throw some ideas out to inspire me please.

My top 3 would be:

Cashmere scarf. Leopard print, houndstooth, camel or burgundy.

Or a wool/cashmere mix in a vintage plaid from somewhere like Barbour.

Or a pompon hat/scarf set from AmeliaJane.

Spendy options would be from Mulberry or LV.

Grey cashmere for me

Avoca scarfs are beautiful. Lots of nice colours.

A silk square to wear like a neckerchief or a long skinny one.

Another vote for cashmere here.

I think a quality scarf is a long gift. I buy myself cheapo ones but something more luxurious would be a real treat.

I second Avoca. I have a hot pink cashmere/wool from 2018 and my friend has the hot orange version. Best scarf ever.

I got mine in Dublin but think you can get them online now.

I love Oscha and Firespiral scarves - stock comes and goes as the most beautiful designs sell out quickly but they do some real beauties!

My MIL got me a beautiful cashmere scarf from Johnstons of Elgin a few years ago - the base colour is grey, with checks in a heathery colour. I didn’t ask for a scarf, but it is just perfect and so cosy.
