Do you think animal print is so ubiquitous at the moment that it looks really clichéd? Or not?!

(By the way, this is not aimed at being negative about people wearing it; I’m just wondering whether to buy an animal print jumper, but not sure about it!)

Personally I'm a bit bored of straight leopard. Quite like zebra and other prints.

Runmybathforme · 06/11/2019 19:32

I like them on other people, I think they suit brunettes best. I’m blonde, so just feel like Bet Lynch.

Eminybob · 06/11/2019 19:33

I’m enjoying it. Today I’ve been wearing jeans that have a leopard print stripe down the side, and trainers with a leopard stripe.

I’ve also recently bought some leopard flats, a zebra dress and a zebra shirt.

I like it and I’m not bothered what other people think (dh hates it Grin)

Screamqueenz · 06/11/2019 19:35

Blonde here, and whilst I think it looks great on some people, I also feel like Bet Lynch.

SallyAnne89 · 06/11/2019 19:41

Brunette here, feel like one of the Slater sisters, love it on other people

MarshaBradyo · 06/11/2019 19:43

I can’t do animal print

Feels like it’s been around for ages though

DogAndCatPerson · 06/11/2019 19:44

I think it’s great. I have loads from previous seasons, so I don’t need to rebuy. Hurrah!

Screamqueenz · 06/11/2019 19:44

Shania has rocked the look for a couple of decades now!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/11/2019 19:46

Brunette here in 50s .so I'm more a Hat Slater than a Bet Lynch!
I love it , but I only wear one Animal item at a time and never ever Double Animal grin]

I wear with black or very dark denim.

I bought the M&S coat that was much discussed and dissected on MN a couple of years ago. My DD hates it and calls it my Pat Butcher Coat ( the swine) . I think I look nice and I ignore her Wink

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/11/2019 19:48

Kat Slater

confusedandemployed · 06/11/2019 19:49

I love it. I tend to gravitate towards animal print clothes at the minute - although that may be because I hate most of what else is in the shops

Squigean · 06/11/2019 19:53

It doesn't feel like it's ever really gone away, always lurking slightly in the background then rises in popularity for a bit.

There's certain people it suits for definite, or more a personality it suits.

Ellapaella · 06/11/2019 20:04

It's not really a current trend as it's it's been on trend for at least a couple of years now, In fact animal print has always been around. Like it or loathe it is fairy classic and here to stay.
I have a zebra print style skirt, a leopard print top but that's all. I did have a leopard print coat but never wore it so sold it on eBay, I found the browns in the coat hard to match with other colours.

helparguement · 06/11/2019 20:42

I love it!

Amrapaali · 06/11/2019 20:50

I got this last week. Literal leopard print. So meta!! Grin

What do you think of the current animal print trend?
Abigail098 · 06/11/2019 21:38

That’s really nice! :)

At the grand old age of 41 I have just bought my first ever animal print item - a silk underwear set in leopard. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to embrace the Bet Lynch style. I do quite like zebra and a bit of subtle dalmatian print. Leopard I think you have to extremely confident to carry off.

Chottie · 07/11/2019 04:58

Two words. Bet Lynch

Karmatime · 07/11/2019 05:23

I like in in colours rather than brown, I have a blue and black leopardish print dress on a white background from Whistles that I love. I’ve seen it look great on others in standard leopard including a blonde friend but not on me. Not keen on shoes and boots at all though.

TipseyTorvey · 07/11/2019 06:39

I was about to type that I hate all animal print and have never and would never wear it because it always looks cheap and nasty but I do like that literal leopard silky top!! Where's it from?

Amrapaali · 07/11/2019 07:11

It's from Zara @TipseyTorvey. Here it is: m.zara.com/uk/en/loose-fitting-printed-shirt-p08366230.html?v1=32291872&v2=1281662

OpheIiaBaIIs · 07/11/2019 07:13

I've always loved it and worn it since I was a teenager - my leopard coat is 20-odd years old and still going strong (and it was vintage when I bought it!). Mind I was a teenage Manic Street Preachers fan so perhaps I'm a little biased Grin

FridalovesDiego · 07/11/2019 07:15

Animal print never ever goes out of style. It goes with everything.

CravingCheese · 07/11/2019 07:20

is it new or even a trend? There were feathers everywhere a few years ago, weren't there...

I own (and wear) an old button up with elephant print... So yes, I guess I do?🤔
