I seem to remember maybe last year a thread in the run up to Christmas called Christmas Princessing. Is there one running this year? Would anyone be kind enough to point me in the direction of it please as I can’t find this year’s via search Blush

Managed healthy food choices - yoghurt for breakfast, salad and fish for lunch and fish and jacket potato for tea. Only nuts to snack on and lots of water.

Have just bought some opi quick dry drops as my nails seem to take forever to dry.

kjhkj · 08/11/2019 08:10

So I did the Priyanka Chopra hair mask yesterday. My hair definitely feels softer.

1 egg
2 teaspoons of yoghurt
blob of runny honey

mix it all up, whack it on and leave it. Oh and remember to wash it out with cold water otherwise your hair will be full of scrambled egg....

Hello all! I am in, have so far booked hair and dyed own eyebrows - much cheaper and works well. Have organised skin care so it is to hand easily in morning. Trying to get more sleep, pace myself and not get too knackered with work and home life. Getting presents now and wrapping them so feel less put upon and angry in the season! Taking vitamins, not at ideal weight but everything fits and I need my energy so not too much dieting but will try to snack less. Got two beauty advent calendars very excited about that!

CountryCob · 08/11/2019 10:42

Also just got one of those Korean towels and having a go with glue on nails which are working out well for instant effect

CountryCob · 08/11/2019 10:43

Here are the fake glue ons...

Well done to all keeping up with their personal lists!

I have overdone the snacks a little this weekend but not terrible. Have done manicure and pedicure so have nice new painted nails and soft feet. Did own eyebrows, deep conditioned and trimmed own hair (I could afford to have my hair cut/nails etc done by someone else but I like to DIY my own stuff, I hate being tied to appointments and salons and being fitted in at inconvenient times etc. Doing tanning moisturiser tonight and aiming to be asleep for 11.30pm so 7 hours sleep Smile Also doing vitamins before I go to bed. Water intake not good at all this weekend but I've dusted off my infuser water bottle and have fruit to put in it tomorrow. Want to lose my half a stone still though so focusing on that this week.

DaisyTulip · 10/11/2019 22:37

Country the nails look nice! Which beauty advents have you got?

AwdBovril · 10/11/2019 22:46

Pleased to report I've lost 6lb since starting OMAD diet, which I think was 11 days ago. Have had 3 days off, but have otherwise been pretty strict, with well balanced, reduced carb meals only. (i.e. no bread, pasta etc, & no alcohol.) It's hard, but less hassle than other diets I've tried.

Already seeing a big improvement after just 1 use of the Korean towels.

Love51 · 11/11/2019 19:07

I'd like to join in please.
I have a sort of malaise I need to snap out of and rediscover my va va voom! I've stopped exercising and need to eat better and look after my skin.
Covered my feet in cream and put special socks on them last night, so I've started!

DaisyTulip · 12/11/2019 22:34

Come on in Love51! I have well fallen off the bandwagon in the last day or two (eating wise) but tomorrow I am back on the wagon properly!

How about if you make a commitment to three things that you will achieve tomorrow?

I'm going to say:

Water
Vitamins
No snacks.

And see how it goes Smile

Love51 · 12/11/2019 22:40

Thanks Daisy.
I'm going for 3 easy wins.
Drink 2 litres of water
Use handcream.
Do my eyebrows. It has been a while. A looooong while.
I think I'm starting from behind here, but hopefully that will mean the little things have a big impact!

MikeHannigansStripyShirt · 13/11/2019 10:10

Hi can I join please? I’ve lost half a stone on the brilliant threads run by @BustedDreams and feel like taking care my appearance a little more!

My plan is:
Take my vitamins EVERY day not just occasionally when I remember

Keep using Korean Italy towel, I’m quite good at doing it once a week, would twice be even better? I don’t want to scrape all my skin off Hmm

Use some body moisturiser every day. I’ve got bottles of the stuff. Need to use it.

Finally I’m going to investigate new jeans as my current ones are falling off me. I’ve got a 12 inch difference between my waist and my bum and I’ve never found jeans that fit properly. Any recommendations gratefully received.

eatsleepmoverepeat · 13/11/2019 19:52

I’m currently having a use it up November in preparation for the obscene amount of Beauty advent calendars I have for next month. I’ve been slacking on the self care front for months so this is a good start for me

QueenOfIce · 13/11/2019 20:58

I'm in! I started low carb in June and have lost over a stone, have upped my water so now drinking 2-2.5litres a day.

I'm cheating and going for a 'tweakment' tomorrow. Need to use hand cream more and foot cream.

Hopefully I can keep up my new habits right up until Christmas!

Rocaille · 14/11/2019 18:20

Hello Everyone, can I join in please?

There are three areas I want to focus on:

  1. Stop compulsively spending on clothes, makeup, etc and start actually putting to use & appreciating the stuff I already have.
  1. Get back onto Slimming World and lose some weight so I can fit into forementioned clothes!
  1. Take better care of my teeth. I'm going for an airflow polish at the end of the month. In the meantime, I want to continue building my flossing habit and also kick my tea/coffee addiction, which is giving me brown gnashers.
CountryCob · 15/11/2019 15:54

Thanks Daisy, the nails are a lot easier and think I have got better at doing them now, they compare well to the gels I used to have, especially if you cut them down and are better than my own! I have Glossybox and M&S beauty calendars, had Charlotte tilbury and no.7 last year. Might save the M&S one for January. Well done everyone on their goals! Glad I haven’t killed the thread...

Keepmewarm · 16/11/2019 22:51

Me please! Definitely in need of some self care.

Aim:
-daily skincare daily rather than just when I remember.
-drink more water and less tea!
-exercise three times a week
-nail care once a week

  • vitamin daily

Currently:
using coconut oil and sugar to exfoliate followed by rose oil.
Drink too much tea.
Yoga once a week max.
Never do my nails.
Vitamins maybe three times a week max!

dreamylove · 16/11/2019 23:57

I'm a little late but would love to join too please! I also have my graduation coming up the week before Christmas and I am feeling less than confident about attending.

Aims:

  • Eat three meals and two snacks a day. It seems a lot but my eating habits are so poor I frequently only eat one meal a day (dinner) and then binge eat junk food in the evening. I think slow and steady weight loss will be better for me and resorting to "normal", regular food intake will help.
  • Dedicate Sunday evenings to a full pamper: body exfoliation with exfoliating gloves, shave, manicure and pedicure, shape eyebrows, hair mask, body lotion.
  • Purchase some type of daily vitamins to take as I am vegetarian and, as I mentioned before, have an unhealthy diet so probably deficient in all sorts.
  • Do some type of 30 minute at-home workout twice a week minimum.

Gosh it looks a bit overwhelming all written down... Halloween Blush

BlackSwan · 17/11/2019 09:02

With my SlenderTone backside toner on & gripping my glutes as I type - I'm in...

I will:

  • eat porridge for breakfast
  • cut down on sugar
  • eat only v dark chocolate
  • use Perfectil every day.
  • use body cream and a tanning moisturiser more frequently
  • whiten teeth every week
  • Smile more.
  • Keep back straight.
DaisyTulip · 17/11/2019 15:07

Hello all! Some good lists on here!

I've done a regular tanning moisturiser, kept up with vitamins, and avoided snacks fairly well for the last two days. Also did a deep hair condition, sorted my winter clothes out properly and have bought a new perfume as it makes me feel more "put together" but I was a bit uninspired by my existing ones.

My main focus still needs to be dropping a few pounds and drinking more water. I'm going to make a chart of things to tick off daily (only on the laptop, not for general view!) hopefully ticking off daily princessing tasks will help keep me more focussed too.

eatsleepmoverepeat · 17/11/2019 17:55

I’m still ploughing through my stash of unused products and my skin is looking a lot better for it!

peeweehelp · 17/11/2019 19:24

I'd like to join please!

I need to gain about half a stone but am hoping to do it in a way that makes me feel good not gross! So

3 healthy meals a day
Drinks 1.5 litres of water a day
Weight training at the gym
Haircut
Eyebrows
Try and sleep as much as I can!

ememem84 · 19/11/2019 21:20

I’ve had a rough few days and have completely neglected myself. So am back on the self care routine bandwagon.

I have just done a face mask. And am drinking a herbal tea and a water. Vitamins have been taken (I always take them at bedtime) and handcream is waiting to be put on.

Tomorrow morning I’m gettinf up relatively early as have to do the nursery run before an appointment. So will wash hair body lotion etc.

DaisyTulip · 20/11/2019 12:46

Hope you are feeling better soon ememem84! Herbal tea, water and vitamins all sound great. Getting back on the bandwagon can be hard but I do think taking care of yourself really helps.

I've been doing good on the no snacks front recently I am very excited to be in the (very top end) of the 9 stones something. I probably feel and look my best at 9 1/2 as I'm petite framed. But there are some events coming up that whereas I want to enjoy myself at, I don't want to cash in the diet efforts early for if that makes sense?! I'll have to make a plan and stick to it.

Water intake is good, vitamins intake good, body care good but my gosh, in a shop today I looked so. darn. tired! Shock like big bags under my eyes tired. So getting to sleep before 11.30pm is back on the list too.

ememem84 · 21/11/2019 07:46

Thanks daisy it’s a stress/anxiety phase of being on mat leave rubbish weather feeling pain family nonsense lack of sleep etc. So all stuff I either need to “get over” or it will pass. I spoke to my gp and she’s increased my meds and has referred me to a therapist too. So all good.

Yesterday I really tried.

Despite lack of sleep (thanks ds...you were my good sleeper!!!) I got up at 6, showered, washed my hair, moisturised (face and body), dressed (nice ish outfit).

I drank about 650ml water and buckets of tea.

I had Accupuncture on my hands (post pregnancy joint inflammation) and asked the therapist to do something to help with the stress so she also popped some needles in my face (the third eye was targeted - right between my eyes...) and she left me with needles in lavender eye bag on and plinky plunky music for 30 minutes where I managed a bit of a nap!

Remembered to take make up off before bed last night and used up some anti puffing eye pads. Moisturised and camomile tea.

This morning I’ve had tea and toast. Am sipping some water. So far so good.
