Work dresses - HELP!

I always wear dresses to work (I am lazy and can't be bothered to think about what to wear and a dress is the whole outfit) and I am rally struggling to find any that I like this Autumn. I normally buy from Boden, Phase Eight, Next and have scoured House of Fraser, Debenhams and John Lewis websites but can't find a single one I like.

I have to have sleeves and not a pencil skirt, and prefer more structured fabrics rather than floaty - no matter how many Finery dresses I try on I look like a street urchin rather than the floaty ephemeral being in my head. I'm a flat-chested big bummed 10/12.

Budget ~£100 per dress.

Any suggestions for where else I could look??

I normally go to Hobbs and French Connection - generally sleeveless with a black shrug and jacket. Recently bought this with sleeves though.

Why do you need sleeves? I wear a black long sleeve vest under most of my shirt sleeved dresses. With a jacket over the top you have no idea, but also looks fine if you need to take the jacket off.

Go for fit and flare and or a line and hobbs.

I take it the op has a similar figure to mine - a pear shape. So if you a 35” chest but 40” hips then you are going to look like you have a fat bum, even though it isn’t, in say a pencil or tube skirt.

Watching with interest, as I am on the lookout for something similar.

Thanks @MrsPear Smile
