Are they comfortable ie could you walk for miles in them and are they completely waterproof?

They’re not very very shiny, ie not patent or anything like that. They are good thick leather and like all new shoes that can look quite shiny.

I can wear them to walk miles in. There was very little wearing in needed, they did rub slightly across the top of my foot where they bend but only briefly and soon softened. The soles are thick and comfy. I’m sure they’re waterproof; I haven’t tested them in very heavy rain yet but can’t see why they wouldn’t be as they’re thick leather with thick soles and there are no gaps for water to get in.

I think they’re pretty well true to size. I’m a 6 almost everywhere but at M&S sometimes a 5.5, but in these I’m definitely a 6. I’d say they’re narrowish - I have quite narrow feet and ankles and they fit well, but on the other hand because they have the laces as well as side zip there’s lots of room to expand too.

I just walked the dogs in the rain in mine and my feet stayed dry. They have a lovely amount of bounce too.

Thisismyusernamefornow they are not Grenson Nanette copies, no where near. They are just hiking boot style boots which as a style of boot are in fashion right now.

They’re not the same imo. The padding round the ankle of the M&S ones looks really clunky and dated.

Any good on slippery surfaces?

I tried these but found them really uncomfortable. M&S do a similar pair with faux fur at the top which were much more comfortable- and crucially didn't have a side zip. Think the hiking style boots look really odd with a side zip!

I bought the brown suede version. I like them!

If they are a copy then they are a poor one.

I'm confused - these look basically the same as every pair of boots I wore in the Police!
