I'd like to buy a stylish cross-body bag for my sister for her 40th. Handbag size rather than big work bag.

Could be classic black or tan, or something more colourful and interesting - but want it to be stylish as she's a stylish person!

Budget up to £100.

That half moon bag looks lovely, I have visions of stuff falling out though for some reason though with the shape. I’m not sure why.

I’ve had my eye on an APC half moon for several years now but I always manage to spend the money on other things instead...the & Other Stories one is a better price and I could just about justify it for A/W! Bit small, maybe, but probably just about workable.

@Steviestamborine things won’t fall out - the zip doesn’t go right the way down the side, so in terms of construction and functionality it’s just like a straight-across bag.

Whistles is great for bags. Also worth a look at Reiss.

I know the old rule about blue not being seen with green but I think navy (coat) and olive can work well

Olive/green and navy work very well. So many fashion rules are quite outdated now.

I agree, I’m not so keen on forest / bottle Greek but olive or khaki I like. Mad about burgundy at the moment too.

Once had a green leather tote bag which I swear went with absolutely everything. Wore it til it perished. Actually was from Primark back in the day.
I didn't need this cross body bag but I regret nothing 😂 DH going to purchase as my birthday present.
And I bought a clutch too from another recommended site... Stepping away from mumnet right now😂🙄

The Windsor saddle bag in dark green. It's a thing of beauty from what I can see 😍 won't get my paws on it until near Christmas tho.

And an Azurina taupe moon clutch, personalised of course, was my own purchase.

No idea why that posted twice, sorry. I have that bag Rosere I’m really pleased with it, lovely shape and size.

That clutch is lovely, I don’t have an evening bag as such, mind you I don’t go out much I suppose.

I love a Crossbody bag too, especially as a dog walker. Some lovely ones around now

That’s good Stevie, Is it a decent size? I also like Brand Alley for bags MrsKoala but you have to jump on stuff there before it sells out. I have had a Coach bag and a watch plus bedding but darent look to often, too tempting.

Update on the clutch... Absolutely cheap looking. Am devestated. Doesn't look too leathery to me either.
