Bodenites - I have a quick question for you.

I bought my first Boden gear in the summer sale - very nice coat, thanks for asking.

I love the jumpers and cardies in the new catalogue. But I'm 5'9", and long in the body with it. How's the length on the tops - will they ride up and reveal my hideous and newly acquired mummy-tummy?

Ta.

like no 3 and the price is tempting.

But I have never bought boden and think I have developed an anti-johnny-doden principle

pointydog · 05/08/2007 09:44

however, maybe I would prefer back hamsters

I like the woolly waistcoat.

COD!?! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?

I was alwaya a bit agnostic about Boden. Dodgy T-shirts IMO. Quality not always guaranteed. Bit mumsy.

Then on Saturday night, three sheets to the wind, I look at Johnny's autumn collection.

And I bought this - www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?styid=WE177&segname=Women&segid=6&gpname=Jackets%2FCoats&desname=New+ Washed+Velvet+Coat&gpid=11&gen=1&col=BLK

and this
www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?segname=Women&styid=WL398&segid=6&gpname=Jersey+Tops&desname=Raw+Edge +Jersey+Peacoat&gpid=27&gen=1

and this
www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?segname=Women&styid=WA161&segid=6&gpname=Jersey+Tops&desname=Essentia l+Shirt&gpid=27&gen=1&cmsp=CrossSell1--Jersey+Tops-_-Essential+Shirt

and this
www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?styid=WA162&segname=Women&segid=6&gpname=Jersey+Tops&desname=Big+Butt on+Shirt&gpid=27&gen=1&col=CEL

and this
www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?segname=Women&styid=WG275&segid=6&gpname=Skirts&desname=Swishy+Appliq ue+Skirt&gpid=26&gen=1

and this
www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?styid=WK381&segname=Women&segid=6&gpname=Skirts&desname=Favourite+Rol lneck&gpid=26&gen=1&col=GRY

and a few extra things for DH and the DCs besides. So not only am I officially mumsy but I am broke too.

Gee thanks cod!

Kind of off topin but I had to snigger at Quattrocent's 4th itemwhich, due to the wrapping of the text in the link, appears to read Big Butt on I don't need a Boden one of those, I have one of my own

Fimbo · 06/08/2007 13:57

Pah, my sil is a friend of some sister of Johnnie's and was asked to help out at one of the town hall sales. She got first dibs at everything. Did she think to buy me or dd anything, no she did not. "Ooh I never thought" says she. COW

Give Johnnie his due, he does perserve with his hotpotch tops.

Carmenere · 06/08/2007 14:00

I reckon that the hotch potch tops are an in-joke and that Johnny and his employees score points every time they see someone actually wearing them.
