Looking for something for my sister's birthday around £20, looking for a miracle product that no woman should be without but might never get round to buying for herself.
Suggestions please.

Touche Eclat for me, definitely. love that stuff but never remember to replace

Sheherazadethegoat · 01/08/2007 17:19

flash balm is shite. the benefit dewy skin product is nice (can't remember its name) apparently kylie uses it.

Lizzzombie · 01/08/2007 17:22

I know its not in the same class of product, but, the famous 'beauty flash cream' has exactly the same ingredients as Superdrugs own brand Natural High, instant radiance balm. Its fab and tons cheaper.

I would recommend YSL Touche Eclat. Would drink it if I could, works wonders.

Lizzzombie · 01/08/2007 17:23

Dr Feelgood powder stuff from Benefit is great too. And their Benetint blusher. Or a Lancome juicy lube tube thing.

elizabeth arden 8 hour cream or hand cream.

Peachy · 01/08/2007 17:25

Lizzi may I recommend NOT asking for Juicy lube??? pmsl - posssible not the most appropriate sisterly gift

Ceolas · 01/08/2007 17:26

I find Beauty Flash Balm makes no difference.

What about a Clarins hand cream, or bath stuff as cod suggests? The Tonic bath and shower stuff is lovely.

neal's yard bath stuff is lovely and so are their blue bottles

mellow2 · 01/08/2007 18:32

I love the Suki blue chamomile serum. It's worked wonders on my skin. They've got a carrot serum for dry skin. It's £25 though.

binklehasflipped · 01/08/2007 18:34

clinique instant pore minimiser is fab. Dont rate beauty flash balm or eight hour cream but eau dynamissante is very nice

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/08/2007 18:34

I always love having Molton Brown gingerlily bath stuff or body lotion
Dr Hauschka rose day cream

Wheelybug · 01/08/2007 18:35

jo malone bath oil or shower gel

binklehasflipped · 01/08/2007 18:35

burts bee's stuff smells awesome too

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/08/2007 18:36

oh yes, jo malone but that's above the £20 limit isn't it ?

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/08/2007 18:37

you can get nice Burt's Bee gift packs with lots of little things all together, same with Dr Hauschka...
L'Occitane is fab too

binklehasflipped · 01/08/2007 18:38

yes, the burts bees tomato water toner is lovely and also orange cleanser

Small sample bags with 10 little bottles/tubes etc is around £16

MrsBadger · 01/08/2007 18:39

or Guerlain Midnight Secret, but think tis a lot more than £20...

Wheelybug · 01/08/2007 18:39

MaryAnn - I think smallish bottles of shower gel are £18 and bath oil £22.

binklehasflipped · 01/08/2007 18:40

touch eclat is good but YSL mascara is really, really, good - around £18 I think

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/08/2007 18:40

that's reasonable then wheely -I'll put 'em on my list

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/08/2007 18:41

a bottle of that Clinique aromatics stuff is under £20

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/08/2007 18:42

or some Clarins Eau Dynamisante

Wheelybug · 01/08/2007 18:42

Also put on your list a friend that works there who gets 50% discount and sometimes lets you use it (and even sometimes gives you freebies that she has been given). She's ace !!
