What's that beauty product everyone wants for Xmas? Is it Beauty Flash Balm?

Looking for something for my sister's birthday around £20, looking for a miracle product that no woman should be without but might never get round to buying for herself.
Suggestions please.

binklehasflipped · 01/08/2007 18:45

already mentioned eau dynamissante - its really nice stuff

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/08/2007 18:47

I also second a Lancome juicy tube !

AufishFeQueen · 01/08/2007 18:59

Lizzzombie, I use the same product as you and have done for the last 9 years and its fab.

L'occitane lavender hand cream

Bouquetsofdynomite · 01/08/2007 20:38

Great, thanks ladies. Think I'll go for the Touche Eclat and keep the Burt's Bees giftpacks in mind for Xmas.
What is Eau Dynamisante? Is it just a toner?
Not so keen on shower/bath type things unless they do miraculous things.

its a fragranced body splash thats supposed to be good for your skin as well, but the scent is gorgeous, really fresh and delicately spicy and the packaging is really nice too. you can get moisturising lotion in the same fragrance.

expatinscotland · 01/08/2007 20:41

Don't have any myself, because I want other things, but my sister would like that Benefit Bathina shimmer stuff.

rantinghousewife · 01/08/2007 20:43

Binkl, am with you on the YSL mascara, touche eclat I can live without but, the mascara is fantastic.

HighlandFling · 01/08/2007 20:57

Oh no, you've all ruined it for me...!

My sister in law gave me Flash Balm when ds was born and I LOVE it and thought it worked! Have to say this has prob got something to do with the fact that I am usually a cheap as chips moisturiser (when i remember to put it on) kind of girl. So, anything is going to be an improvment.

Hmmm, think i need to get myself down to boots and do some testing of other items pronto.

For now though, Flash Balm gets the thumbs up from me!!

If my sister was to buy me some lovely beauty products for my birthday, I'd want this

Furball · 02/08/2007 06:15

But would you be happy with receiving a product for dark circles or blemished skin for a present. I'd be thinking - cheeky mare.

Maybe veer towards pamper rather than problem skin

Furball · 02/08/2007 06:16

Sorry BOD - seen you've already chosen

Bouquetsofdynomite · 03/08/2007 08:48

Highland Fling I'm with you .
I'm a little suspicious of Benefit because their packaging is just too gorgeous. Have only tried a concealer and the lip/cheek tint thing but they're nothing spesh. I'd rather a product be proven miraculous if I'm going to spend more than a tenner, hurray for Mumsnet eh?
