I don't want to spend £28 on Charlotte Tilbury...

So I'm really loving the look of the new Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips collection, especially the 'Dancefloor Princess' and 'In Love with Olivia' shades' but I cannot justify £28 for a lipstick. They look so lovely and hydrating and I tend to have dry lips so have to steer clear from anything matte.

Does anyone have any ideas for some nice affordable dupes for her lipsticks?

No dupes but I do love a CT lipstick. I wear Secret Salma as my every day lippie and got my eye on Amazing Amal 😍

I'd have a look at Kiko's Gossamer emotion creamy lipstick. Their velvet passion ones are practically the same CT's matte ones and rumour has it they're made in the same factory.

From experience, bite the bullet and buy the one you want rather than sending more on several cheaper ones that aren't quite right. At a CT counter they'll try it on you before you buy so you know the colour is right.

Exactly what MoltenSilver said ( if you can afford it!) if not wait and get for a pressie. You can end up spending tons more trying to find the right dupe

I agree, go for the CT one if you could stretch to it. I’ve spent literally hundreds of pounds on cheaper makeup that isn’t quite right and then never gets used. It’s a false economy I’ve come to realise. I now buy less makeup, but it’s more expensive and suits me so I use it up until it’s gone.

Agree with pp, buy less but better quality.
I rarely wear lipstick but I always buy expensive ones when I do because it really feels like a treat to wear it then, and I know the colour is exactly what I want.

Oh you’ve all twisted my arm - I’ll have to just get myself a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick! I can stretch to it, it’s just the pain of handing over £30 for a lippy!

I’m a big fan of the kiko lipsticks. I have several CT lipsticks and they are no better than the kiko gossamer creamy ones.

I’ve got the angel one in the panther case. It is a beautiful colour but isn’t the same as the website swatch. They are refillable cases which I though was a good idea,

You can get 10% off your first purchase if you sign up to the news letter I think. That's if you buy direct from her website. It's worth checking out swatches or trying them in store as some of the nude shades can vary from person to person. Pillow
talk looks a lot browner on me than the picutre I saw. They are very nice lipsticks though.

I got the Pillow Talk one, expecting it to be a lovely pink shade like the advert, it's brown on me (and several other people said the same) and not much different in colour to MAC Velvet Teddy, just a nudey brown.

Has anyone tried the refills yet? Do they come with a lid so you can store them? I was thinking of getting one but I want to be able to use both and swap them around when I want them rather than having to use one up before I can use the other if that makes sense.

Rimmel lipstick in the shade Aisa is exactly the same shade as pillow talk and personally I find it longer lasting

I have tried several products supposed to be good dupes including the Kiko lipstick and No 7 illuminator but found them not good enough. Sometimes it is false economy
