Have never been successful sandal shopping. They pinch or rub..Can anyone recommend a make that I could try. Not a flipflop but a comfy sandal?

Fitflop (they don’t only do flip flop styles).

Marks and Spencer’s are good. Their shoes come up big, and they also do wide styles. They have had some really good stylish and trendy options the past few years.

Leather, not pu. That way they will stretch as well.

Lots of people swear by saltwater sandals. I’ve never had them.

Birkenstocks are good and they are also wide.

Well sort of depends on your budget. I bloody love Esska shoes. Have about 6 pairs now and they're also very comfortable. Their India sandals are perfect.

But they're not cheap.

Get yourself some proper walking sandals. They may not be very glamorous but they are comfy. Mine are karrimor but there are plenty of other brands out there.

CointreauVersial · 31/05/2019 18:40

Clarks and M&S are my go-to for comfy sandals.

Psychologika · 31/05/2019 18:53

Sea salt!

RoseReally · 31/05/2019 18:55

I know lots of people don't like them but I love my Saltwaters. They are extremwly comfortable and I think they look good too.

DrFoxtrot · 31/05/2019 19:05

BendyBusBuggy · 31/05/2019 19:09

Valía Gabriel are very comfortable

Ninkaninus · 31/05/2019 19:13

Saltwater? Does that brand even exist? I have a feeling I was trying to say seasalt...

Bubblysqueak · 31/05/2019 19:13

Crocs sandals are really comfy and don't look like Crocs .

TapasForTwo · 31/05/2019 19:14

Earth Spirit

Fairylea · 31/05/2019 19:14

I love my saltwaters BUT they don’t have any padding at all on the sole so essentially you are just walking flat foot on the ground. For long distances etc I have to go for something from Clarks or Hotter, even though they always make me feel a bit frumpy.

Ninkaninus · 31/05/2019 19:14

Oh heh ok I did mean saltwater.

Don’t mind me, I’m obviously not quite with it today! 🙄

Chipsahoy · 31/05/2019 19:16

Reiker. There are tons on Amazon.

Pippster · 31/05/2019 19:24

Agreed with the saltwater recommendations

LemonTreeLemon · 31/05/2019 19:31

These vionics ones

I bought them last year and took them to Florida in March. I then put them on and walked for hours around the Disney theme parks, having never worn them before.

Perfectly comfortable from the first moment I put them on.

I've bought another pair in a different colour for this year.

Saltwater. You wet them, wear them and they mould to your feet.

purplemunkey · 31/05/2019 23:28

I recently bought some Timberland malibu waves ankle sandals following a few recommendations on a similar thread not that long ago. Soooo comfy. Pricey at full RRP but got them for £44 on Amazon.

Buzztwo · 31/05/2019 23:29

Hotter tourist sandal!!!

boomboom1234 · 31/05/2019 23:36

Saltwater

Psychologika · 01/06/2019 12:58

Gah, I meant Salt Water not see salt!

JaneJeffer · 01/06/2019 13:05

I second Earth Spirit. Really comfortable and look nice. I have awkward feet that usually hurt in everything,
