Hello again - lots more comments
So I’m not convinced at all by the jackets - sorry. It reminds me of the 90s and my youth too much I think, all that power dressing and shoulder pads.
What I do have is raincoats - generally mens because long arms - with hoods and properly waterproof. Very practical rather than stylish. I covet the Seasalt range but there arms are just too short
The navy vest was for colour, not fit. I wear it as a vest under other things because it doesn’t fit very well. I know it is very unflattering.
If there had been a plain orange t-shirt, I’d have got that but they didn’t and the blue was the wrong shade. I think navy would be very safe and would prefer to pick up the white or orange of the Christmas puddings (can’t unsee that now but I still love the trousers).
I generally wear either stripes, patterns or bright colours and don’t own any plain black clothes except vests/knickers.
I do mostly wear v-necks or scoop (?) necks and flaunt my crepey décolletage due to the norkage but they had no v-necks in the right colours either.
I think I will take a trip to the Big City
and see what t-shirts I can find elsewhere, clutching my new favourite trousers with me to make sure I get a good match. Or I might just stick with the orange stripes....

Thank you all for your help and advice, you’ve given me a real confidence boost
