Running leggings which don't need hoicking up every few yards

Anyone recommend running leggings which stay up?
I am a curvy size 10, I like to wear leggings which are fairly snug as otherwise I get distracted by my arse jiggling around!
Anyone recommend leggings which will stay up on the waist, and aren't too flimsy?
I have always bought from TKMAX in the past, but the selection and quality is too poor lately.

Nike Pro high-waisted. I did 70 mins of a full-on HIIT class in mine this morning and they didn't move an inch. And they're snug enough to make my more wobbly bits look taut and fabulous. Smile

Nike running tights are great but I've had brilliant ones from Tesco and Sainbury's too.

KnitterOfSocks · 20/04/2019 21:17

My Nike tights stay put, as do my Tikiboos. Good strong drawstring is the key!

pontiouspilates · 20/04/2019 21:22

My Decathlon leggings don't budge, they have a drawstring and also a massive leg pocket which holds a large phone easily. Also very reasonably priced. At the other end of the spectrum, Sweaty Betty are excellent quality.

clandestinenetwork · 20/04/2019 21:29

Under Armour.

CMOTDibbler · 20/04/2019 21:30

A drawstring is an absolute must for me - tights without one just never stay up. I have many pairs, but my current faves are Razorstorm, Ron Hill, and Threo

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 20/04/2019 21:31

Next ones are good. I have the 3/4 length ones and I never have to adjust them when running.

hellodave · 20/04/2019 21:32

tikiboo 100%
they have a drawstring and decent sized pocket.
Currently 25 % off online too

GreyTS · 20/04/2019 21:44

Honestly only Nike running leggings and shorts work for me, don't get the training ones they are fine for hiit and spin not for running, some styles of Oysho are good too, but definitely need a drawstring and a proper crotch so you don't need underwear

stucknoue · 20/04/2019 21:46

Sports direct karrimore ones stay up fine

Dafspunk · 20/04/2019 21:46

Lululemon

Sammysquiz · 20/04/2019 21:50

My best ones are from Tesco! And we’re considerably cheaper than my Lululemon ones Grin

beeyourself · 20/04/2019 22:29

Sturdy by design every time - funky patterns too.

trendingorange · 20/04/2019 23:18

Thanks everyone.
I'm not so keen on the draw-string ones, I usually have to tie them so tight it feels uncomfortable.
I hate actual clothes shopping (do mine almost all online these days) is there an online shop like ASOS etc where I can try a few of the brands mentioned?

Lucy locket loves on Facebook, lovely designs and fab

fullprice · 20/04/2019 23:25

Nikw running leggings
Have drawstring inside
Never even come close to slipping down

fullprice · 20/04/2019 23:25

Different models have different size pockets at the back. The bigger pocket ones are best - if you are like me and like to
Run with a phone for music and take keys etc

dontfluffthefluffer · 20/04/2019 23:42

Second Lucy locket loves. Both activewear and casual wear ones. Don't budge and don't go see through when you squat.

ScrambledSmegs · 20/04/2019 23:48

2XU. The medium or high rise ones with the 'storage' waistband. They come up pretty snug, I'm a 10 or S in most brands but prefer a Medium in 2XU.

They're normally pretty pricey due to the compression fabric but you can get old seasons in limited sizes/colour ways on Amazon and sportsshoes dot com (avoiding link)

100% sweaty Betty power tights. Nothing worse than running tights! Sweaty Betty 10k were also amazing but they don’t make them anymore :( Honestly they cost a lot but I’ve been through loads. These are the best. I’ve also heard good things about Lulemon super tight or something but not tried them.

wyoudo · 21/04/2019 00:05
  • nothing worse than run tights that fall down, I meant

Nike are crap, super market are crap. No draw string needed I promise!

trendingorange · 21/04/2019 00:08

Not bothered about pockets as I keep my phone in my hand, so I can listen to music on the speaker.
Dog poo bags, lead & keys go in a running bumbag thing (always run outdoors in off-lead quiet areas so I can exercise my dog at same time).
