Are these “old lady” sandals?

I have pregnancy damage internal and it causes me to have a swollen foot. Its just the one foot and therefor shoes are a nightmare as i cant get alot of shoes on the fat foot.

I ve seen these and think as they are adjustable then they may be suitable.

Im only 31 and i was hoping they werent old lady sandals.

What are your thoughts please?

I was thinking of the black colour

I have pink ones from a few years ago. Very very comfy and I prefer them to sports sandals for walking and dashing about in. Admittedly wouldn't wear them for a function.

However what is more elegant: misshapen feet in a more elegant shoe or a straight, well manicured foot in a pair of tourist sandals. Or wear sensible shoes for most of your time and be able to chose aged 60 when there is an occasion that warrants it.

If i could get past the fact they're hotters (my mum used to wear those) the cow print ones wouldnt be too bad. ....although i dont really follow fashions. My mum had some sandals in the 1980s (she was in her 30s) that i thought were ever so frumpy ....but a few years ago the same type of sandal seemed to be in fashion. I couldnt bear to get any though!! 😂

I think they look quite nice, I was expecting to see something my nan should eschew on the grounds of being too old fashioned when I clicked on the link. The red are nice. Mind you, I find Saltwaters the comfiest sandals inn the world and wore them throughout the winter.

From previous experience it may be best to avoid sandals with an ankle strap.
I lived in Birkenstock's and flip flops as a. I couldn't bend to put shoes on and b. I had such swollen feet that nothing else would fit!

Those Paver ones 🤮

Snog · 09/04/2019 22:02

My mum is 80 and she wouldn't wear them 😆

I love fly sandals and these look very similar. With the right clothes these would look great. The frumpy sandals are the ones mentioned from pavers. To my eye they are hideous!

Thanks all, a mixed bag of responses!

I ve ordered them and will see what I think when they are on my feet.
