Bit like this

Obviously age, or lack of it, helps but products? Which ones? Why don't I look like that?

I wear Clarins Beauty Flash balm under foundation or tinted moisturiser. Makes a massive difference.

policywonk · 04/07/2007 17:59

I've got lilylolo - on MrsB's previous recommendation, as it happens - and suspect I must be doing it wrong. It makes me look like a great big powder compact.

cornsilk · 04/07/2007 17:59

Also drink lots of water leading up to big night out - can't be bothered to all the time to.'

Tinker · 04/07/2007 19:28

Oooo, more stuff, thank you. Shall be printing off. Got some of the LilyLolo whatever they're called testers for eyeshadow - some garish, some good. Shall look at their other stuff as well now.

Another question please. All these shimmering dewy things - do you put anything on top? I feel a bit sticky without any sort of powder on top of foundations.

can be used on own and under makeup

Jojay · 04/07/2007 22:58

Another fan of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm here. Use it under a light reflecting foundation and you will look radiant

Is that really true? I've been waiting to have enough disposable income to justify buying Flash Balm for about 20 years. Can I just use witch hazel instead?

Snaf · 05/07/2007 20:48

Laura Mercier Secret Finish.
Tis great if a bit pricey.
Prefer it to Clarins Beauty Flash.

I second Boobi Brown shimmer brick...it makes my skin look 'glowy' said my 15 yr old - and she is critical to the extreme so high praise indeed!!!

MaccaMacca · 09/07/2007 11:50

Loreal face cream

bronzer, mascara

ghostyCLAIRE · 09/07/2007 11:55

My mother always said I would be grateful for my oily skin later in life ...
ROFL at you lot paying to look shiny when all I have ever wanted is to NOT look shiny ...

FWIW ... I inherited my skin from my mother ... she had oily skin all her life and now, at 67, has hardly a wrinkle. MIL on the other hand, has skin like an old leather boot

OrmIrian · 09/07/2007 12:04

Err... sweat? My face always looks dewy when I've come back from a 3 mile run . Mind you it's also fairly pink and blotchy too...

mumto3girls · 09/07/2007 12:06

IT's not shiney - it's dewy.
I know it sounds silly but there is a difference in the look.
