Christmas and the sales are sadly over but winter is still here for a few months yet.

Come and show us your cosy knits and woolly hats whilst we dream of summer - everyone welcome, the more the merrier.

Forgot to mention I ran the London Marathon on Sunday, for charity so very proud and has given me some much needed positivity.
Have booked facial, pedicure and hair for the weekend to get my battered body recovered!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 30/04/2019 23:08

oh well done for running the marathon viva! you are hardcore!! hope you recover okay from it Thanks

shopafrolic · 01/05/2019 08:05

Try again tee link

shopafrolic · 01/05/2019 08:06

No idea why it isn't working. Search for Short Sleeve Ribbed Step-Hem T-Shirt

shopafrolic · 01/05/2019 08:08

OMG congrats Viva that's an amazing achievement. Good for you! Hope you have lots of sports massage to recover.

shopafrolic · 01/05/2019 08:09

Perhaps if I link from Pin it will work?

MarshaBradyo · 01/05/2019 10:44

Shop fabulous outfit, must be hard Flowers

Dreamqueen · 01/05/2019 13:41

Shop what size did you buy? You've tempted me.

Well done Viva

DryWhiteagainW · 01/05/2019 16:41

Really like the shape of that T Shop

Well done Viva, that is amazing!

FedupNagging · 01/05/2019 21:13

Wow Viva well done on running the marathon; what an achievement. Absolutely love those silver flatforms and i just noticed this bag on the MV website which would have been perfect for my holiday last month!

How is dh doing Dream?

Love the style of the gap t shirt Shop - a nice selection of colours too. Are you and dm visiting df every day?

Am returning these Boden crops - they come down to my ankles so would need hemming (which will be fiddly due to turn ups]] plus belt loops adding so not really worth it. Still waiting for the rest of the order to arrive.

MrDream update, he got out of bed for the first time in days yesterday & was bale to stand and walk a little with help. one minute he is able to talk coherently and the next he's rambling. It's heartbreaking. Doctor reckons 2-3 weeks in this department before reviwing any progress that he's made.

My brother is coming over to take me to dinner after day at the hospital. we are going to the curry place which is next to hospital that MrDream and I always used to go to on a Tuesday in the days before he whisked me off to India for a curry on my 50th.

Game face outfit today is dark denim Levis shirt dress, studded boots and red lippy.

apologies about long Mrdream post.

Shop how is DF doing? It must be so hard for you & DM.

Fedup I like those Boden crops but I'd have the same problem as we are about the same height.

shopafrolic · 02/05/2019 13:42

Dream tee is a Medium for me (UK12). Hang in there. The human brain is amazing - so much change will come I'm sure. My friend's wife has just been described as a miracle as she is now walking and talking again after a major stroke 6 months ago. Look after yourself, deep breaths, don't forget to eat and try and limit your alcohol intake (I was drinking a worryingly large amount without realising it when in full hospital mode).
fedup I visit just twice a week normally as he never remembers me having been there the next time I see him. I took miniShop the other day and he pretty much ignored him after an initial bright smile so while I don't want him to get lonely, I equally need to look after my mental health. DM visits the other days. He still believes he is in rehab and will be heading home so it is very hard. Lots of white lies being told. :(

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 02/05/2019 15:09

dream Thanks it must be so hard. you are doing amazingly Thanks

Sounds very tough Shop i'm glad you recognise the need to care for your own mental health. its awful when your parent/s are sick and there is nothing you can do. Thanks

QueenCerise · 02/05/2019 18:11

Dream ....you are so strong, sending good vibes and love to you. Xxx
Shop it’s tough, you are doing the right thing. You too are an incredible woman.
So hard for both of you. I think this thread is good when times are hard

libertyonhertravels · 03/05/2019 08:13

dream good advice from the lovely shop. Hang in there Flowers

Shop it's heartbreaking that your DF is so confused. Sending lots of love.

I need advice. I have to take part in a mini documentary as the spokesperson for the organisation I work for. It's on a contentious issue and I'm the representative of govt / public sector defending decisions. It's next week so I need to outfit plan. The interview location isn't confirmed, it could be a walk around outside or a inside sit down. I need top tips!!

libertyonhertravels · 03/05/2019 08:16

I think I need to look professional but not too groomed or glam.... I'm thinking hair up or tied back in case it's outside. Don't want to be pushing hair out of my face.

FedupNagging · 03/05/2019 08:17

Ooo fierce boots yesterday Dream. Keep on keeping on Thanks

Shop it's good that you're finally getting a bit of time to yourself now-much needed. Those little white lies are a kindness and will avoid distressing your df further but yes, very sad.

lib if you’re being filmed, I would have thought plain rather than patterned clothes would work best? Something that you’re totally comfortable in so don’t fiddle with anything. Your most amazing colour next to your face and amazing natural looking make up. I’ve never had to do it though so my advice could be wrong Grin

Stokey · 03/05/2019 20:43

QueenC's advice sounds good Lib. I reckon a dress but not too tight fitting.

Hang in there Dream, the uncertainty must be very stressful. Good words from Shop.

Am deep in decisions here. The tiles I wanted for the shower room have a 7 week lead time & the builder wants them on site in 4. Need to decide whether to stick to the ones I love or compromise and look for something else.

Took a couple of hours out to go shopping today. Bought a black A-line dress in Cos which is much nicer than the picture and I think will be a great basic.

Dreamqueen · 03/05/2019 21:01

Stokey I love that dress. How's the sizing on it? and is the jersey light or heavy weight please? Might treat myself to it.
