This is being touted on a local ladies page by a beautician. The photos claim great results.

Those of you who've had a bad experience, would you be able to describe the effects please? The turkey neck for example - how long after the procedure did that turn up? Is there any aftercare they say needs to be done?

belles001 · 20/02/2020 00:10

Why? Has it not helped?

belles001 · 20/02/2020 00:18

Yes I'd like to know too please! Go on! Tell us!

belles001 · 20/02/2020 00:25

Has anyone tried this more recently? Am a little put off by these reviews and it would be great to have some recent input. Thank you! H

I paid an absolute fortune (nearly £1,000) Hifu 3d done last summer (about 8 months ago) and I was promised long term lifting and sculpting results. I immediately noticed a bit of a lift around my chin and neck but now I think I look saggier than I did before! I'm 46, and was looking for a rejuvenating treatment without surgery, and I was promised by the therapist that Hifu would work, but I am bitterly disappointed! Save your money and have a bit of botox instead - it is much more effective.

I had it done 7 weeks ago and no difference. Had free consultation and beautician said “yes” I was an ideal candidate . Paid in full, not cheap over £1,000 only to be told on the day that middle of forehead, eyes, corners of mouth and middle of neck cannot be treated as there are nerves endings . Ummm, why didn’t they just tell me before I handed over the cash. Anyway, a little sore around the cheek bones and jaw lines but nothing else. I stopped drinking, I don’t smoke anyway, stopped tea and replaced with 8 glasses of water, introduced fruits that are beneficial to skin and even purchased collagen tablets. What a waste of money. I’ll be sticking to caci and oxy jet from now on..

Oh sorry to hear that! Yeah the more I read the less sure I am that I want to do it. As long as you don’t see any negative effects like the lady she mentioned her skin looking saggier than before that it’s ok. Wait for at least 3 months to see its full effect as this is what they seem to claim. Anyway It’s ok to lose money , we can always make more with God’s willing, but to have negative effects that is the scary part for me... I had a bad experience with under eye filler and now I always think a thousand times before I go ahead and do something. It’s not always the money.. as we are willing to sacrifice and pay, but love to see the results that we paid for! Unfortunately there are so many out there that pretend to have great treatments.. hard for us to find the right one! Take care!

Mmmnn just had HIFU for my stomach two weeks ago. I had to have the settings on medium as I feel pain easily. The lady says I need 3 3 months apart but I now may need 4 in total as we are not using the highest setting. Cannot tell any difference so far and started taking collagen tablets for additional boost.

Oh gosh. Thank you all for responding. The jury's out. Looks like it might not be worth the investment. I'm on a waiting list to see a surgeon once covid allows. I'm not too bad for my age, but would like the jowls corrected. Will report back after the consultation ... :)

Was also considering hifu but after reading so many bad reviews and doing some research decided against it. Hifu was intially only used to reduce fat on stomach, hips etc not used on the face so makes sense if treated by someone with little experience they could potentially reduce fat in the face which will cause sagging.

PhoebeSnow · 27/12/2020 14:43

Waste of money for me! Had two treatments on double chin, no difference at all, and not going back.

SARAVO · 02/02/2021 09:27

I had a Hifu facial and my skin is completely burnt Is there anyone who experience this I so scared in case scars.

jaymes · 06/01/2022 13:52

I liked this article. Suggested this machine is safe? Theres a clinic finder where you can find clinics that have the machines to.

Yea please can you say where and who did yours? I’m thinking of getting it done but seeing many mixed reviews.

Grandma102 · 15/11/2023 11:47

I had one 2 days ago

Whippetmuma · 26/04/2024 10:45

I had my neck and lower face treated yesterday at Juliette John Laser clinic in Suffolk - my God it was so painful! I’m very swollen but hope to see reduced double chin and more pronounced jaw in next 6-12 weeks - hope it works! Bit scared to read posts saying made their face saggier!

PollyIndia · 26/04/2024 15:27

I had ultracel q+ (HIFU) with Rita rakus in london. Thing I do think about these machines is that in the wrong hands, they can definitely cause problems so I would go to somebody who is very reputable and definitely a doctor. Also if you want a dramatic result then probably it is going to be Botox and fillers rather than the machines. The reason I like the machines though it’s because it feels like an investment in my skin which will pay dividends as I get older as opposed to immediately looking less lined but not really changing anything longer term. I can definitely see that I have a more defined jawline after the first treatment, which was about six weeks ago. Even Rita Rakus told me that she hasn’t had Botox for two years because she uses the machines and she is in her 70s and has great skin.
The ultracel a+ plus wasnt painful, and there was no downtime either… it’s not cheap
though…

Hi, I’m booked in there for a few weeks time. How did you get on in the end? Did you get the results you were hoping for?
