Am thinking say off-white linen, obv tarted up with accessories

there is NO dress code for this wedding, ts suits but not evening wear or bow ties or anything for the men

don't really want to wear a dress, am not a dress wearer, but WILL obv if need be.

fillyjonk · 27/06/2007 08:32

OP posts:
fishie · 27/06/2007 08:33

well you can have pretty much anything you fancy with off white. have you a bag or antyhgin to start wth?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 27/06/2007 08:34

isn't green back luck at a wedding?

fillyjonk · 27/06/2007 08:37

oh i always wear green. i have green eyes.

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 27/06/2007 08:39

me too. i love green!

what kind of green are you thinking of?

fillyjonk · 27/06/2007 08:41

hmm

probably sea green

i think my strategy at this point is to go to m&s tommorrow night (late night opening) and see what they have. and buy it

have slight complication that will be fatter by time of wedding in mnth (pg) but will prob just buy size bigger and take in if need be.

OP posts:
fishie · 27/06/2007 08:44

that is very sensible filly. limit your choice - i do this, say to self i am not coming out of this shop without my (shoes whatever), there will be no looking elsewhere just to see.

fillyjonk · 27/06/2007 08:47

oh yes shoes

i have some flat sandals in brown, do we think that this is the way forward? They have lots of thin straps over the toes IYKWIM.

OP posts:
fishie · 27/06/2007 08:59

brown shoes with green accessories? i think you'd need mroe brown than just sandals (hair?!) say teal vest and bag with brown beads or something? or brown bag (not very festive)?

perhaps i am over analysing this. go get suit, then see what you would like to go with it.

fillyjonk · 27/06/2007 09:05

ok good advice

have (dark) brown hair

sandals are tan more than brown, they are also quite minimal iykwim.

coast had some gorgeous green jewellery. not sea green but very nice.
turquoise would probably be very nice with your colouring as well.

fishie · 27/06/2007 09:10

oh how i'd love to go to a wedding and read a book (will you hide it udner table?) i used to read about three a week, now about 1 a month

fishie · 27/06/2007 09:10
