Ok.... Hourglass cosmetics? Mascara is AMAZING

After YEARS of searching I think I've found the holy grail of mascara - it's giving me proper fluttery lashes AND it doesn't smudge or flake ALL DAY LONG!!!! I'm so happy

It's not cheap though so while I'm really impressed with hourglass mascara I'm a bit reluctant to try anything else from there. Has anyone tried anything and would recommend??

Attached a pic of my lashes after using the caution mascara - you can see how short and stumpy my natural lashes are lol

That looks amazing - can you link to the mascara please?

mrscampbellblackreturns · 15/11/2018 08:06

Agree the mascara is fab. Their powders are also very good

boymum9 · 15/11/2018 08:10

Amazing! Which one is it? I LOVE their powders, their bronzer is amazing too!

Electrascoffee · 15/11/2018 08:12

I have the mascara - it came in my Liberty Advent calendar

Oorwulliesbucket · 15/11/2018 08:17

Looks brilliant

wiwzer · 15/11/2018 09:51

Errrm I'll try to link it :

If that doesn't work perhaps someone more IT literate than me could help?

I got mine from space nk because I'm obsessed with collecting points lol

Have just looked at my photo again - wonder if they do anything to cover my eye bags!

I have the hourglass stick foundation which is lovely but only need a tiny bit as its quite full coverage. I’ve also got their bronzer and a nice blush. The powder highlighter palettes are nice too and have also used a primer that was lovely but can’t remember the name - something veil I think it is.

The mascara looks lovely!

Pinkvici22 · 15/11/2018 10:15

Thanks wiwzer I currently use NARS Climax which I think is amazing but will definitely give this a try

Charlieiscool · 15/11/2018 10:25

I agree their mascara is fantastic. The eyeliner wasn’t great though. Their face powders are good; I bought the £70 palette and really just one of the powders would have been enough and would have saved me £30.

picklemepopcorn · 15/11/2018 10:56

Wiwzer I like Maybelline eraser for eye bags. I saw it on a blog and have been very impressed.

EraOfTheGrey · 15/11/2018 11:06

I have 3 of the ambient powders and think they are a real game changer. I wish I'd purchased the Hourglass edit 4 because it would have saved me a few £'s.

UpToonGirl · 15/11/2018 12:37

I have one of the Ambient Lighting palettes and I have to say I wasn't that impressed! It's nice but for the money I was expecting a little more. I watched loads of Youtubers reviewing it and they all really hyped it so maybe my expectations were a little high.

That being said I do use it everyday (I've had it about 9months) and I'm nowhere near hitting pan so even though it was expensive it should last me a long time.

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/11/2018 12:53

I love their powder too, it took me two years to hit pan on mine. I'm very pale and it's the only powder I've found which doesn't either give me a fake tan or make me look matte and almost dead. Their blushes are lovely too.

For oily skin, their Veil primer and immaculate foundation are also great.

April241 · 15/11/2018 12:57

My favourite mascara just now is the Loreal paradise waterproof in the blue tube. I didn’t like the non waterproof version.

Absolute favourite mascara ever is the YSL faux cils or the Benefit they’re real.

April241 · 15/11/2018 12:58

Welp.

Re-read the OP and realised I picked it up wrong, haha! I haven’t tried any hourglass so can’t answer your actual question Grin

asilikeit · 15/11/2018 12:59

This mascara is my absolute favourite! I'm totally hooked after my first tube! In fact my mum and sister in law are both getting it for Christmas, it's magic!

wiwzer · 15/11/2018 13:17

Ok think I'll treat myself to some of the powder then, that sounds promising.
I bought one of the lipsticks in the refillable gold cases because it looks SO CHIC but bought it online so just guessed on the colour and it's a little too coral for me. Will be great for summer tho

@picklemepopcorn thanks don't mind experimenting with maybelline as it doesn't hurt the pockets so much!

Fashionista101 · 15/11/2018 13:26

@wiwzer I love you. I've been waiting SO long to find a decent mascara!

THANKKKKYOUUUU

OHolyNightOwl · 15/11/2018 13:29

Looks great!
Gah, I'm such a sheep I feel I need to buy the mascara now! Even though I have three different mascaras I'm trying! (Wilko's Essence mascaras at £3 a pop. They are actually really good too!)

wiwzer · 15/11/2018 15:16

@Fashionista101 yessss!! Honestly, I bloody love it!

Onthebrink87 · 15/11/2018 15:20

I use eyko sport mascara, it has very similar results and lasts all day and is very waterproof! Lasted all day on the beach swimming and sweating in Portugal! If quite like to try the hourglass one next though!

Olivecake · 15/11/2018 16:03

I’m really hoping they bring the caution mascara out in waterproof too soon!

I love Hourglass - the ambient lighting powders are amazing, the palettes that are out right now (unlocked and edit 4) are both dreamy and great ways to try a variety of the powders. The combination of wearing the finishing powder, bronze and blush all together is so fresh and glowy without glitter.

I really like the vanish stick foundation too, can be built up to a high coverage or sheered out really nicely to just to cover where needed.

SpeckledyHen · 15/11/2018 17:21

I bought the travel size Hourglass Caution fron JL on price match for £10.80 and love it .
