Going to a wedding in 3 weeks - I've had two unsuccessful shopping trips, trying stuff on and it's all been wrong wrong wrong.

I want something sleeveless as it'll be hot, i want something quite classic looking - that comes in at the waist - and is knee length or longer. Can't go over £80.

Anyone got any good links?

Please?

well your URL is wrong for a start, 100x

it goes nowhere

ahundredtimes · 18/06/2007 21:07

It's not us, it's poncy L.K. I'm going to find Boco another dress, somewhere else.

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2007 21:08

yes who needs their crappy dress

who the devil are LK Bennett anyway?

ooh Boco would you consider orange? I found a rather nifty orange dress on my travels

So, that yellow or blue plastic dress SMS, that was a joke was it?

What's going on with the links?

Is it like a USP?

Curmudgeonlett · 18/06/2007 21:09

OMG Tutter I love both the red ones on your link

ahundredtimes · 18/06/2007 21:10

Oh Boco, I can't do links. Franny's been fantastically patient with me on about 10000 different threads. I think I have now conquered linking threads on MN (but not totally confident) but am failing at everything else.

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2007 21:10

it's the web address that you copied and pasted

wrongly

Boco · 18/06/2007 21:10

L K Bennet are good, i have good shoes from them, [purchased Before Children]

I could do orange if it was totally amazing, but i'd probably need new shoes then too.

this one and lots more in green on the website

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2007 21:11

every time I try to help 100x do links all hell breaks loose and I lose the power to type

back away slowly is my advice

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2007 21:12

Nah I am not sure now

Boco · 18/06/2007 21:13

It's got beige in it. I'm allergic.

The green one is too pea soup green - has to be a nice forest or grass, no lime or sludge.

Do you do black? Have found v. nice chiffoney one with little dots, rather nice, but I'm not going to humiliate myself by trying to do another link if you don't want black?

Curmudgeonlett · 18/06/2007 21:14

what about the red ones on Tutter's Link

the red ones

lovely

Curmudgeonlett · 18/06/2007 21:15

carmen would be great for a wedding

Spider · 18/06/2007 21:16

This is nice if you can get away with short.

I think your £80 will go further if you're willing to get a lightly used designer dress from ebay.... and let's face it at size 10 you can have your pick of gorgeous dresses.

I, too, am going to a wedding in three weeks. Imagine if it's the same one.

Boco · 18/06/2007 21:16

Yeah but red - it's not good with my complexion - i'm a little pale for red, could look like a smack head.

And black - i love black usually, but summer wedding, i'm thinking i should really make an effort with a bit of colour

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2007 21:17

she said not red

and I would guess not black for a wedding?

Boco · 18/06/2007 21:17

Spider i'm not sure i understand that dress - is it made of petals? Does it come with wings?

Is your wedding in Czech Republic?

FrannyandZooey · 18/06/2007 21:18

right I am now Boco's echo

(slight kerfuffle with some batteries here before I could press post)

Curmudgeonlett · 18/06/2007 21:18

it would look fabulous on me
