Not classy

MrsZippyLake · 26/10/2018 14:22

Sorry but I also think they are tacky.

Racecardriver · 26/10/2018 14:22

Well yes but isn’t that the point of night out outfits?

whiskeysourpuss · 26/10/2018 14:22

As a regular seamed stocking wearer (some with fancy detailing at the top) I think these are a bit much if the bows are on show with a leather mini skirt - to use a phrase from another thread they'd look like prostitute tights.

Also agree with PP that they'll be a pain when you've been to the loo & are half pissed trying to get them to sit right again.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 26/10/2018 14:27

Ahem...

Is this too "tarty"?
GameOldBirdz · 26/10/2018 14:30

They look really tarty.

Go for it.

You're meant to look tarty on a night out.

Oblomov18 · 26/10/2018 14:42

No you're not.

pippaisaidiot · 26/10/2018 14:42

I bought them for tomorrow night.
We are going out for Halloween ..I've bought a black mask and a Lacey bodysuit..the look in my head was a "sexy dead woman"
Could I get away with them for Halloween maybe?

“In the real world, Halloween is when kids dress up in costumes and beg for candy. In Girl World, Halloween is the one day a year when a girl can dress up like a total slut and no other girls can say anything else about it.”
(from Mean Girls)

Thebluedog · 26/10/2018 14:57

I really hate saying this as it shouldn’t matter but it would really depend on how old you are. I’d have worn them in my early 20’s, but prob wouldn’t now I’m in my mid 40s

GameOldBirdz · 26/10/2018 14:57

Could I get away with them for Halloween maybe?

You can "get away" with them any time. Fuck what anyone else thinks. You like them. You'll look awesome.

WickedLazy · 26/10/2018 15:00

If worn with a nice long sleeve top or blouse (and boots?) I think they'd look fine?

pippaisaidiot · 26/10/2018 15:01

I'm early 30s but apparently I look 26

OP posts:
GraceMarks · 26/10/2018 15:08

Well, if you'd said it was for Hallowe'en in the first place... they would be fine for that but I think too tacky for an ordinary night out.

ihopeyouwitchesareready · 26/10/2018 15:11

fine for Halloween op

championquartz · 26/10/2018 15:12

I think it has nothing to do with age.
It's a no from me.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/10/2018 15:14

Fine for Halloween! On a normal night out I am not personally keen on that style of tights.

Sitranced · 26/10/2018 15:15

They're fine even for a normal night out

Namechanger55555 · 26/10/2018 15:24

They are fine for Halloween!

I wore them on a night out in 2011. That's when they were popular.

I'm not sure I'd wear them now. But I possibly would for Halloween.

I say, go for it

Livingloving · 26/10/2018 15:25

A bodysuit? Can you post a pic?

MorrisZapp · 26/10/2018 15:30

If I live to be a hundred I'll never forget the Halloween dripfeed of '18.

Of course you can wear them as part of a costume! (I'll save the monologue on the politics of sexy dead woman for the FWR board)

Hezz · 26/10/2018 15:41

Reminds me of Katie Price's tattoos but whatever floats your boat

Waitingonasmiley42 · 26/10/2018 15:44

I'm 31 and would consider myself too old for a sexy Halloween costume. Each to their own though!

HildaZelda · 26/10/2018 15:48

I don't think they're tarty at all, but I do think they're a bit dated. I used to have a similar pair myself but that was about ten years ago now.
