I've already done the princess style wedding first time around #doomed

What do you think of this?

I suspect it might swamp me

Would you like to see a bride in a jumpsuit?

I love jumpsuits as bridal wear but I’d be conscious that they’re very trendy at the moment so is likely to be obviously of its time when looking back at photos in years to come.

It wouldn’t bother me but some people try and avoid stuff that could date easily.

PippilottaLongstocking · 21/10/2018 17:47

eve I was trying to find one that showed the legs of the jumpsuit but they’re always hidden behind the dress! They both looked incredible

Lucked · 21/10/2018 17:51

I like this reduced phase eight jumpsuit. And I like the idea of combining it with a black belt and biker jacket.

moredoll · 21/10/2018 17:53

Currently on offer at John Lewis

You could put the money you "save" towards professional alterations.

Sorry, cross post with Lucked.

Love what you're both wearing!!!! Gorgeous

TheCraicDealer · 21/10/2018 18:11

Wedding jumpsuits are so cool, Solange Knowles had one with a cape and it was to die for. I'm not massive on lace on wedding dresses though. I saw this in Reiss and immediately wished I'd had a jumpsuit. It has no lace or detailing so if you want to go down the leather jacket route it should be easier to style.

Away from the high street bhldn (not a typo) and David's Bridal also have a few options- think there's a DB in Brum and Glasgow if you're close to either of those. The ones on the bhldn website are gorgeous though.

LadyBundleBrent · 21/10/2018 19:27

I really wanted to wear a jumpsuit to my wedding four years ago...I'd recommend having a look on the BHLDN website (bridal version of anthropologie). Some great options in the "modern bride" edit and there could be others:

LadyBundleBrent · 21/10/2018 19:28

Oops realise bhldn already recommended!

TakeMe2Insanity · 21/10/2018 19:41

The jumpsuits look amazing. Just think about loo logistics before you buy!

CaseStudyResearch · 21/10/2018 19:51

Oh I am loving the idea of that bandeau Reiss jumpsuit with one of the bhldn beaded capes/tops over the top.

DoraJar · 22/10/2018 05:05

The maxmara one is amazing !

TheDowagerCuntess · 22/10/2018 05:43

I love the idea of a jumpsuit - but it has to be the MaxMara one. Just stunning.

MoltonSilver · 22/10/2018 08:59

Nothing against the jumpsuit idea but I'd prefer if the legs weren't lace. I think the lace/lining on the legs cheapen the look.

bitofabelly · 22/10/2018 10:40

This is a fab idea....

Ushittingme · 22/10/2018 12:31

I love the idea of a jumpsuit but Im also teeny tiny and the one pictured would swamp me , same idea maybe just a little more tailored to fit us short asses ???

Cherries101 · 22/10/2018 12:33

I think you’re too short for a full length jumpsuit sorry, and cropped ones look a bit tacky at weddings. I think a leather jacket / lace dress is good if you want something different, but you could also wear a shorter mini-wedding dress and look different.

dannydyerismydad · 22/10/2018 12:35

I wouldn't. Only because going for a wee would be the biggest faff.

Highcontinental · 22/10/2018 12:45

I love the Reiss one.

You could do it with high wedges for understated glam.

And any jacket/cape type thing you like.

tinytemper66 · 22/10/2018 13:11

When I got married I was a size 8 and am under 5ft tall. I had a plain dress but in shell loping with some roses on he shoulder and the back. They also put two roses on the bottom of the hem to give the hem a lift.

tinytemper66 · 22/10/2018 13:11

Shell pink!!
