What are your fave clothes shops?

Well, having established that Next is cheap and nasty, which clothes shops do you love? Where do you shop? Or where would you aspire to shop if you cuold afford to?

I am not a market researcher, honest! Just curious. I like Mango and Zara, and if I could afford it I'd buy half of L K Bennett. But I'd love to know if there's any fabulous shops out there that I haven't heard of.

I used to love doing 'fashion desinging' as a child - I'd spend hours designing dresses and cutting pictures of outfits I liked out of catalogues! So I've still got that streak in me now as I get very excited about new clothes!

I like any shops where I can fit into a size 10.

So none of them then

Roseylea · 14/06/2007 16:09

Or ones with magic mirors that make me look like I'm a size 10!

(I'm v. easily flattered!!!)

DrNortherner · 14/06/2007 18:55

Love:
Primark
Bay Trading
Oasis sometimes
Coast for that special outfit
TK Max if time to rummage

Hate:
Dotty P's
Monsoon
Next
Per Una from M&S

spykid · 14/06/2007 18:56

Idreamofdaleks · 14/06/2007 19:00

M&S for undies and silk pyjamas
Fat Face for holiday and beach wear
Noa Noa for everyday, everyevening, everywedding and work
Kew - workwear and bags
H&M for kids

Would buy expensive danish labels if I had more cash

yaddayah · 14/06/2007 19:10

Monsoon
Charity
Gap (but its a bit utility this season)
Designers at Debenhams for evening stuff
H & M for impulse buys

janeite · 14/06/2007 19:19

Am currently liking -

M & S Limited Collection;
Principles - although don't like much this season; last season I liked nearly everything;
Oasis for dresses and skirts but not for tops

Would like if anything actually fitted me in there -
Wallis;
Monsoon;
Everything is just too long and too wide in there

Hate -
Top Shop
French Connection
River Island

I have never knowingly been in Jane Norman or Morgan and would never consider doing so - blah.

Hate:

H&M
Top Shop
Primark
Warehouse
DP (although I can't think if I've ever been in)

Used to hate NEw LOok but a big one opened up in a nearby town and I've got a couple of cheap hooded tops and t-shirts for slobbing in.

Sunshinemummy · 14/06/2007 21:07

Gap, Mango, Zara, Paul Smith and boutiquey places.
TMP I know the head of retail at River Island and she will be over the moon when I tell her about your 'youngish mood' comment as they don't perceive themselves that way.

bogie · 14/06/2007 21:13

I'm always skint so i like
H&M
Primark
TK Maxx
Matalan
Asda
New look

If i have money i like

Ted baker
Diesel
fcuk
USC

cornsilk · 14/06/2007 21:13

ooh sunshinemummy - can you get her to give mumsnetters a 25% discount at RI?

Sunshinemummy · 14/06/2007 22:13

I can ask but I don't see her that often as she is married to someone who works for my DP. Bizarrely she is a highflyer who is controlled by her hubby - who isn't.

RIELOVESBACARDI · 14/06/2007 22:17

love
asda
new look
primark

would love
jane norman [but being size 14 with big tits not a hope in hell]
