Which shoes with ankle grazer work trousers?

Been a SAHM for years and returning to work. Looking in shops and it seems that none of the trousers and really full length which is fine, I like them.

Struggling with which shoes to buy however. I bought these today (see pics) but the boots dont look right as the trousers hang slightly lower than the boot top and the trousers and not super tight at the bottom. So will return the boots.

Any suggestions?

I wear loafers as I don't look right in brogues. The picture you posted looks fine to me!

I wear brogues with mine, or very low cut ankle boots in the depths of winter. I think my current boots are from Dune.

Yes to brogues or loafers. I wore boots with ankle grazers today and whilst I THOUGHT they looked ok at home, when I caught sight of myself in a mirror at work and they looked bloody weird 😩

Brogues or loafers here then ankle boots in the winter (with a skin gap). Or snazzy socks with my brogues which is the cozy option.

I always feel very mannish (and short - 5’1”) in brogues. I love ankle grazers but can’t spend a day in heels any more . I’d love a smart blocky ankle strap shoe or a shoe boot that didn’t look ridiculous.

I wear ankle grazers most days. Trainers to my desk, then change into naice loafers, flats or heels.

I love brogues on other people but also feel like a short man wearing them. Then I bought red brogues and absolutely love them! I like wearing flatform brogues too.

I wear glossy heeled courts. Not too high. Or loafers for when I’m out and about and need to walk a lot.

Yes to flatforms, brogues/loafers & ballet pumps. Yesterday I wore black trousers with a stripe & patent loafers & did have a slight urge to moonwalk! 🤣.

You can do boots if the shaft (?) is low, lots of heels would work too.

How do you get around the expanse of leg showing when you cross your legs or sit down (I’m talking warmth mainly) when you wear shoes? Socks look awful!

Ankle grazers with ankle boots always makes me think of a star trek uniform. Brogues, loafers, ballerina flats, all good. I imagine heels look good but I do not wear those!

Yes forgot to mention. Also wear ballet flats a lot.
If it’s cold I basically don’t wear those trousers as my ankles get too cold. I wear dresses with tights and boots instead.

Or dresses with tights and heels.
