Scented Candles for the house

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 23/09/2018 09:34

Hi I'm looking for a scented candle for the house to make it feel fresh and nice in these colder months.

I've used white company the last few years but I was disappointed last year as they didn't burn evenly and therefore lasted a lot short time, plus they are ££££

Anone have an others they 'swear by'?

thx

Tk maxx is your friend. The DW candles are excellent - great scents also This Works candles

For anyone who uses scent melts there’s a company who do a monthly box of 8 for £10 inc. delivery. I’ve been getting them for a year now and I’m impressed with the strength of scent.

Oops, the name of the company might help! It’s Flamingo Candles. Blush

Aldi 'fake' Jo malone!

Max Benjamin Enchanted Paths or Maldives are divine.
I love Park Candles Original Fragrance too and Yankee Egyptian Musk or Vanilla Lavender ( which is now out of stock but I van make my own wax melt of it by using the lavender wax melt mixed with the vanilla wax melt)

Diptyque candles... I have Baies as I love the big five wick one. But my fave fragrance is amber though that doesn't come in the huge size.

Expensive but the scent lasts sooooo well

Aldi candles no. 1 and 2 are the ones that sell out most quickly apparently. No. 1 is my favourite.

I love the Skandinavisk candles, they burn well and the scents are amazing. You can buy them in JL but they don't have the whole collection, they are online on skandinavisk.com but if you search online you can usually get them from shops in the UK cheaper.

I've had tons of Jo Malone, and I really cannot fault the ALDI Dupes tbh.
I currently have the blackberry one burning and I can still smell it in the morning, it's beautiful.

Diptyque Santal is my all time favourite. Makers of Waxed Goods are my second. I find them in TKMaxx/Homesense. Other brands which are worth a go are Shearers, Prices & This Works.

WAx lyrical sweep pea and violet is m6 favourite of all candles, and i have had loads. Really fills the room. floral, but not too sweet. I but the one in the glass jar for about a tenner, and it always burns cleanly. I buy it again and again.

Molton brown 3 wick, highly scented and last ages

Tk Maxx are great for bargains.

Fireside from Can To Candle is gorgeous and reasonable

I had the Orange Blossom Jo Malone bought for me last Christmas. I don’t know if it is my sinuses but I couldn’t smell a thing. My favourite are the tin ones that smell of fresh laundry!

Fabulous ideas on this thread, I want to try the Aldi ones now.

I have to put a word in for the ones from Bomb Cosmetics. I like their Apple & Elderflower. And if you do the leaving to burn for a while the first time thing then they burn evenly.

I find that their names and descriptions make it easier to imagine what the candle will smell like than those from a lot of online retailers.

eggfriednice yes, the marmalade one you mentioned was bought for me when we moved into our first place in the summer, amazing.
