are they obligatory in Cornwall or something ? We're off in a month or so , Crocless and planning to stay that way !

Gobbledigook · 10/06/2007 09:33

Not obligatory but lots of the shops have them and they are great for the beach and pottering in rivers and streams. The boys look really cute in theirs!

Oh no, we are going to Cornwall at the end of August. Will I succumb to the horrors?

Gobbledigook · 10/06/2007 09:39

Went here - was fabbo - we went last year and going next year too. It's just so fab for the kids and there are loads of great places to go round about.

We had top notch weather too!

Oh didn't buy the jibits thingies!

They are great for the boys - just got themin place of sandals for ds1 and ds2 - they only had trainers and wellies with them so we needed to get something. £20 is cheaper than Clarks or Timberland sandals anyway.

Yes, Lostwithiel. Near to Fowey which is lovely and there are fabulous, unspoilt beaches all around.

The best thing was, most people were back at school so it was pretty quiet everywhere we went - no crowds, no nightmare traffic. I love our school for having that extra week at half term!!

Yep - bought the crocs in Fowey and had ice creams at Sam's

I'd be happy buying fakes but didn't see any. I didn't think £20 was too bad considering what I'd otherwise have spent on sandals

i quite fancy getting some for dd, i must say.

Gobbledigook · 10/06/2007 09:43

No, didn't eat in Sam's. Probably will next year but ds2 (2.9) just too wriggly to sit down for a meal with at the moment. He is hard work! Hoping he'll be 'easier' next year!!

YES! Seasalt had a gorgeous top but needed smaller size which they didn't have.

I could do with going sans kids to have a good look!

I got a pair for the beach as I only had 'nice' sandals otherwise. At home I think I'd wear them on school run if it was wet, but only with jeans where they aren't as noticeable!!

OP posts:
Gobbledigook · 10/06/2007 09:47

Oh I meant ds3 is 2 of course, not ds2! I do know my children, honest!

I know, what is it with shops atm - huge sizes everywhere. I am an 8 in lots of shops and I'm not that tiny so gawd knows where really slim people get their stuff!

Saw your post about Monsoon - correctamundo - everything enormous in there!
