DD was told yesterday at school that a tankini, which is all she's got, isn't allowed.

I'm having trouble finding anything at all, quite frankly. Swimming starts next Tuesday.

School uniform shops usually have one piece suits in plain colours.

Gileswithachainsaw · 13/09/2018 13:09

Sports direct or Amazon? We have the slazenger Boyleg swimsuit both dds love them and they come in "sensible" colours that schools should allow.

PhilomenaButterfly · 13/09/2018 13:09

Thanks, I'll have a look. 😀

I got DD one from Next - order by midnight and can pick up from local shop after 12 the next day

Disfordarkchocolate · 13/09/2018 14:08

Our local pool has a good selection.

widgetbeana · 13/09/2018 14:08

Simply swim are excellent. A really wide range of colours and styles

Housewife2010 · 13/09/2018 14:37

I buy my 11 year old daughter plain one colour Speedo swimsuits from Amazon. The prices vary so much - I got her a navy one for £5 earlier this year.

PhilomenaButterfly · 14/09/2018 17:46

Thanks everyone! I bought DD these from Sainsbury's:

I don't have a 12 year old but really - is it that difficult to find one piece swimming costumes for children? That's awful! Talk about sexualising them young.

Branleuse · 14/09/2018 17:52

Is she at secondary? Dont they have to have plain ones, or are these non school

RSTera · 14/09/2018 18:00

Really?? Proswimwear have literally zillions.

RSTera · 14/09/2018 18:02

is it that difficult to find one piece swimming costumes for children?

Err... no.

Look

Gileswithachainsaw · 14/09/2018 18:07

Don't take this the wring way op but I'm not sure they'd be allowed Nd they are rather young for an 11 year old that light blue one will like it go see through.

PhilomenaButterfly · 14/09/2018 19:06

She's in year 6 Branleuse.

Giles she likes them. You should see some of the bags her friends have got!

Gileswithachainsaw · 14/09/2018 19:36

I would still get a back up plain one. Those certainly wouldn't have been allowed for school swimming lessons with Dd
