Are knees high boots out of fashion?

I have 3 practically new pairs.. just wondering are knee high boots a complete fashion faux pas with dresses and jeans?

I think it doesnt matter, you should wear what you like and what suits you.

Yes ankle boots are more fashionable now, but do you really need to be fashionable.

I have knee high boots. Yes I will probably wear the ankle boots more, but I'll certainly wear the knee high with skinnies whenever I feel like it.

I don't really wear dresses, but If you like it go for it. Don't be dictated to by fashion.

Definitely not in at the moment but there coming back I believe, I'm trying to buy a pair and there not easy to find but I want them!!

I think the over the knee boots or ankle are more common now?
I love knee high boots though. I'm wearing mid calf ones but they arent very flattering if I'm honest.

I don't get the love for mid calf boots- who wants boots that display the fat part of your legs

For me, they're classics and never out of fashion . I'm not a fashion follower though 😄

They're in especially as there's a 70's vibe going on. Also have seen them styled with midi dresses.

Knee high leather boots and a midi dress or skirt is all I will be wearing this winter. And I'm dead cool. 🤣

I have about 5 pairs that I've kept just in case they come back (all approx 8+ years old now!) But I find they are so unflattering. They seem to add cms to my calves and tend to give me cankles.

I think knee highs are on the way in again

I always wear them in mid winter as theyre warm.

I think the look of the moment is probably more an ankle boot as someone said upthread a bit, but they're timeless. Jeans/boots/cashmere jumper you can't go wrong.

I think they're probably just out of season, so will make a comeback in the colder months. I don't really like the look of them over jeans though, just doesn't look right to me

They are due a comeback late autumn/winter according to various fashion magazines. I have a few pairs that I’d like to wear with some cashmere dresses and skinny jeans

I've never stopped wearing knee high boots. I do think I over the knee boots should not be worn to work though, they just seem incongruous with a 9-5 type office job. Clubbing, funky work places etc absolutely. Public sector etc, no.

I have never stopped wearing knee high boots with dresses. Not many people can pull off a dress with ankle boots, well, I certainly can't, and I am not keen on shoes.

They have been out for a couple of years but there seems to be a good selection coming in with the AW stock so I think they are making a comeback.

I like them! I can't pull off the skinnies-with-ankle-boots look with my fat legs so I'm not going to be relinquishing my knee-highs any time soon.
